Access 2003 while viewing code doesn't scroll

Does anyone have any idea why Access's module editor doesn't scroll with the
mouse. I noticed this behavor in Access 2k also. While viewing code in a
module (or any thing for that matter) the wheel mouse does not scroll the
window.

Scott, what type of mouse and driver version are you using? I had the
same problem with my Logitech Cordless Mouseman Optical until I went
back to an older driver.

I also have a Cordless Logitech mouse on my notebook (different model
than that mentioned above) which I can't get to scroll in the code
window. I don't use the notebook much for development work, so I
begrudgingly live with the problem.

Regards.

If Microsoft (or compatible) mouse, try the Intellipoint software,
version 4 works with VB/VBA windows, version 5 doesn't (or at least
didn't last time I tried).

That's exactly what I am using, a Logitech cordless. I didn't install any
drivers and let windows determine the best drivers. What specific driver did
you use to resolve this issue?

Thanks,

Scott

Version 5.0 and 5.2 don't appear to work in the A97, 2000, 2003 VBA
window.

Version 4.12 works fine but doesn't list my new Wireless Intellimouse
Explorer 2.0 mouse and doesn't support the horizontal scrolling :(
Hmmm... which is more important? Probably being able to scroll in the
VBA window.

You don't need horizontal scrolling, use "_" to split lines :-)

Yep I do that (Am using a widescreen laptop too.. so lots of room).

The problem I found is my other mouse buttons don't work because the old
drivers don't support my new mouse. I use the wheel button as
double-click all the time.

I contacted Logitech customer service and they gave me the canned response.
"There is no known issue with Logitech products with Access". I thought I
just told them. ;-)

I have a client who is using Access 2002/2000 (the database itself is written in 2000), and is considering migrating to Access 2003. Any recommendations on whether Access 2003 is worth the migrate, or should he stick with 2002? Thanks! Neil

I've got to let end users (really just one person) load billing batch files into a third party app table. They need to specify the billing cycle name, the batch name, and the input file name and then I can use these values to execute a SQL Server stored procedure to load them into the batch table from the input file (the stored procedure uses Dynamic SQL to Bulk Insert the file to a temp table then processes it into the final table.) My...

We are running an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. Our network guy is upgrading to Windows Server 2003 and wants to upgrade Office and SQL Server at the same time. We're moving to SQL Server 2005, and, since he already has licenses for Office Pro 2002, he wants to upgrade to that. I've been saying that we need to upgrade to Access 2003, not 2002, even if Office is kept at 2002. We are also looking to do a fair amount of...

I have turned on smartnavigation=True for some of the forms in my .NET application. It seemed to be working fine on Windows 2000 SP4, which also has VS 2003 installted, but when I moved the application to window 2003 production evnironment, the Smartnavigation stopped working. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Ashhad.

Hi all, As a learning project I would like to recreate a project that I made in MS Access within ASP.NET. Could someone help by commenting on the correctness of my statements below and also by making suggestions? Thanks! 1) In Access, you can create a form that gets it's values from a multi-table query. In ASP you can create a web page that gets it's values from a multi-table DataSet. This is the first step to complete this project.

Here's something cool that I just discovered (on IE7, I wonder about the others): I was viewing a long code block with some really long lines in it. Since the horizontal scroll bar was WAY of my screen while viewing the line in question, I started fiddling with my mouse buttons (if you don't have a scroll wheel yet, you are missing out, but center button may work). I clicked the scroll wheel and got a <-> looking gizmo on the screen. Moving the...

I have a corrupt record that disappears after a compact, but reappears several days later. This is on a widely distributed Access 2003 application that is used by about 100 users. The database itself is only 70mb, but the problem this record causes is widespread. As soon as the record appears again, reporting gets thrown off in a major way, kicking out an "Invalid Argument" error when virtually any report is attempted. Any advice?

This question is so dumb that I'm embarrassed to ask it, but I've searched and googled and can't find the answer. I am making the switch from Access 2000 to Access 2003. In A2K3, the font is so small on the help screens that I can barely read it. How can I change the help screen font size?

Basic question: Does anyone know how to go about adding a control to an Access 2007 form that will allow viewing a Word 2007 document? Reason for asking: My office is about to receive 100+/- Word 2007 documents that contain data that needs to be imported into various fields of an Access 2007 table. To facilitate the import process, I was thinking of creating a form in Access that would have a Word control (or "window") at the bottom of the...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
