Possibly because you're linking primary key to primary key (or another
field with a unique index on). On the many side, use a field that has no
unique index (or no index, the relationship will create a hidden one for
you).

Hello all, I am developing an interface system for an application I was written. This interface will connect to other system to share information. I would like to use xml and xsl to generically describe each interface. The trouble I am having is that it seem that if you export in xml by table then it is impossible to combine the xml tables files back together in a hierarchical fashion. I can do it programmatically but I would like to...

Hi people, I was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice. I'm building a database of XML documents using eXist (which seems pretty good so far). I can create, store and search individual XML files without any difficulty. However, I need to link one XML file to another. For example, one XML file will describe a virus. I was hoping to store the genetic sequences found in this virus in separate XML documents, and link these...

One of the things that is common between most genealogy databases is that they will have one screen were you log all the information for a given person and then (maybe) have a link to a source record. I'm trying to create a database where you have tables that record facts and then link those facts to a person record. For example, I'll have tables for Birth, Marriage, Military Service, Tax Records, etc. They are separate tables because...

I have an Access 2003 application that is split into two .mdb files for the interfaces and data. This app is distributed on a CD to be used on computers that have no internet access. When someone needs an updated dataset the backend .mdb is refreshed from a load of Oracle tables and sent on CD so that the user only needs to replace a single file. The front end links to the tables in the back end. The problem is that the amount of data...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
