setting up Data Access Page

I must warn all of you willing to help me that this is my first go at
designing a functional data access page. Please bear in mind that we
all start somewhere so if I should be asking the absolute dumbest
questions you've heard in a while remember I'm not the first. I am
specifically looking for step by step direction. I also feel I must
make you aware of my dedication. You see, I need to complete this
project to get a nice bonus for Christmas. I have a 3 year old
daughter that needs new clothes, new supplies for school, and overall
something better than whats left over after I have paid all of the
bills. If you have made it this far, thank you in advance! I
sincerely appreciate it. (Did I forget to mention deadline of
11/18???? Hope you like a challenge as much as I do:)...)
OK. I have sucessfully created and maintained a very useful database
(A2k3) for a large project my company has undertaken. Not very
complicated at all and few relationships. Currently 4 total users on
a split database... Being a victum of my own brainstorm, I now have
been asked to add additional user and client DAP interfaces allowing
such users and clients to update the table data.
I assume learning how to design and implement one with your help will
yeild the knowledge to continue on with the less important ones to
come. The most important DAP is going to be for our "production
status"
I have the following fields I want users to update:
(alot more tables and relationships than shown....just thought I'd
keep it simple for my first DAP)
Table 1 Table 2 (Contains Multilple related
_______ _______ to Location ID)
Order # (Primary key) Location ID
Location ID Location Item #
Sort key (text)
Existing Product (text)
Proposed Product Type (text)
Proposed Product Item (text)
Proposed Description (Text)
Is our Product? (true/false)
Released to Production (true/false)
Production Start Date (date)
Fabrication (true/false)
Plastic (true/false)
Paint (true/false)
Graphics (true/false)
Production Comp Date (date)
Production Comments (memo)

Fuctionality needed:
Users need to be able to look up by Order # or Location ID (latter not
integral)
Users to wiz bang button filter records by start date,Completed date,
sort key, and product type.
More specifically Completed Date and Start date by
"is null
and is not null."
Sort key and Product Type by user defined paremeter
value
Users to be able to update values and dates in the database tables
over the intranet via a DAP while myself and 3 others are using the
Database in the Access forms I have created.
I have met no success with use of the wizzard and my "How to Do
Everything with Access" book has failed me miserably with the data
access page. Really wish I had the time to open a new how to manual
for Data Access pages...but as you will remember from above I have a
deadline og 11/18. Please be patient with me. I sincerely appreciate
all of the help I can get with this. I'm sure my daughter will too.
Thanks in advance! and Kind Regards,
Joseph A.K.A., Manystrengths (except with DAP's :)

I am developing a small website using ASP scripts to format data retrieved from an Access database. It will run on a Windows 2003 server supporting FrontPage extensions 2002 hosted by the company 1&1 with only limited server configuration via a web based control panel. My query relates to the ASP security model and how it relates to FrontPage options for setting file access on a database file. If you know of any online documentation...

I've set up small web apps on a few of my clients' servers using Frontpage and ASP and Access. I have them running IIS 5. I want to begin using ASP.NET and convert the current apps and create new ones. In my home office, I've created some test apps on my home server, and I can add local servers and data connections using the server explorer in VB.NET 2003.

Hi All, I am working on a project that acts as a bridge. It does some checking with post xml data, and then redirects the request to an appropriate page. However, we find that depends on the browser cache setting (and OS), the program behaves differently. This is how it should work: 1. The client program opens a webbrowser control, using navigate2 method to post xml data to my aspx pages, eg abc.aspx

I am trying to program an application that requires a large number of screnes that are very similar in the respect that all the bottons and labels interact with each other with the same relationship. If possible, it seems it would be easier to set up one standard page where the text is blank for each radiobutton, button, or label. The text would then be filled in by specifying the dataset and databinding information via code under the...

I have a form named frmVehicleEntryForm. It has a 3-tab tab control. On the 2nd tab page, there's a textbox named VehicleLocationName whose default value setting is =DLookUp("","tblAdmin","=Forms!frmVehicleEntryForm!TowCoDropDownBox") The criteria of the DLookUp points to a control on tab page 1. If, after choosing a company in TowCoDropDownBox, I click tab page 2, I was hoping to see something like "XYZ Company" in the textbox named...

Hi, I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to /usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be "E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem to be having an effect? ...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
