execute through a web browser. In general the model works fine, but we are
running into some scaling issues.

Hi all,
I have a simple problem that hopefully has a simple solution, but I
have yet to figure it out. In a patient database, I have a physician
test order form that populates a report that is then printed and
mailed out or faxed. It would be nice to have the doc's electronic
signature show up on this report, but we have 4 or 5 docs that order
tests.

I'm experiencing extremely slow response times in design mode of my
forms since moving to Access 2003. Simply dragging a button to a
different position on the form takes 30 seconds or more. The record
source for my form is an ODBC passthrough query to an Oracle database.

I've made an access report which shows the number of people in 5
activities. As you can imagine, it only takes up about a quater of the
page. I have to give a copy of this report to two people, and so in the
interests of saving the Amazon rainforest, would like to replicate the
report twice on the one page. And if possible, it would be good to be
able to have a each persons name (who is getting the report) at the

I'm totally stuck. When I click on the "Preview" button for a report
on the
database window, pressing the <ESCAPEkey simply closes the report.
But
when I use DoCmd.OpenReport with acPreview on a form, pressing the
<ESCAPEkey dumps the report into design mode.
To add one more quirk, creating a new form, and using the wizard to
create a Print Preview command button sets the report behavior back to
normal, by closing the report clean on...

I have taken over an access report that is rather involved.
Whenever I click on a control to modify the report - there is a long
delay. It took 30 minutes just to save the report!
Obviously the report and data behind it needs optizimation.
Is this common? Any work around solutions? Why would it matter when I
am design mode?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
