access 2003: reports export to excel 2003

hello

does anyone know why is there a character limitation (255) in excel
when i export from the reports object in excel access? if i created a
macro using the transferspreads heet action from the query with the
field of + 255 characters, it will export all characters. why is there
a character limitation in the reports when exporting to excel?

thanks in advance - jung

I run into this problem when using A2000 and TransferToSprea dsheet (may not
be exact name). As I recall the problem is that the data is sent to an older
version of Excel (older than 2000) which only accepts 255 characters per
cell. I was hoping to avoid this problem by upgrading to A2002.

I wish to direct reports that I have created in Access to Excel enabling me to produce a graphical output from Excel. The report is a simple query regarding responses to a letter mailing. There are two reports 'Reply Recieved' and 'Reply Not Recieved'. In an ideal world I would like to be able to create a graph showing the percentage of replys recieved against non-replys. Many Thanks

Okay So I've got pivot tables setup in Access 2003. Only about 30K records in the current 2005 databases...the pivots summarize the info in a number of nice ways. I need to get the pivot tables into a document so I can distribute the tables, as is, as an electronic report (without the detailed data) So I export to rtf and xls, and I get an error that there is a too much information. I don't want all the data, just the summary table!

We are running an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. Our network guy is upgrading to Windows Server 2003 and wants to upgrade Office and SQL Server at the same time. We're moving to SQL Server 2005, and, since he already has licenses for Office Pro 2002, he wants to upgrade to that. I've been saying that we need to upgrade to Access 2003, not 2002, even if Office is kept at 2002. We are also looking to do a fair amount of...

Hello all, I have created an ASP.NET website that uses Crystal Reports that works on the localhost (my PC), but when I copy it to the server it does not. The problem is ExcelUseConstantColumnWidth = False. On my PC when exporting a report, it works - columns are varible width to fit the field, from the server it does not - I get constant width columns. I suspect it is a DLL issue, but so far all my comparisons are coming out the same.

I have an access adp (MS Access 2003) connecting to a SQL 200 server. From the adp a user generates reports and using the built-in access export wizard can export said reports (which are either tables or queries run against a table) as the save as options available in the wizard. What I really want to achieve is remove certain save as options from the default access export wizard. After some research I have realized that customizing...

I want to export a report (that contains two separate queries, 1. Current year data, and 2. split-year data) from access into excel, but everytime I run my code and export the data to excel, it looks like garbage. I have maximize and minimize buttons on the left side of the excel spreadsheet that I don't want. I want separate tabs on the bottom of the spreadsheet that show the two queries separately from one another. But I don't know how...

I have some queries in Access 2003 db that I have setup to display as pivots. I can go into design pivot table view and click on and then click on Export to Office MicroSoft Excel. The problem is I have about 6 queries that produce 48 reports (based on parameters). I don't want to manually save each pivot query results. The first macro I created to export the queries I used TransferSpreadsheet but the export results are regular xls...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
