Assigning a variable for a table field

Is it possible to use a variable to indicate a field that you want
updated ?

x=12

Variable="[Feild1]"

RS.Edit
RS!Variable= x
RS.Update

Yes, for all "collection s" you can use a string value.

So

forms("frmCusto mer")("CompanyN ame")

Or, in your case:

rs(Variable)
