Filter=True & =Sum(Field1 + Field2 ...)

This works fine:

Me.ForecastCurr .Form.Filter = "Year = " + Str(CurrYear)
Me.ForecastCurr .Form.FilterOn = True

And when I add this:

TextCurrYearTot al = Me.ForecastCurr .Form.[SumOfPeriods]
Me.ForecastCurr .Form.Filter = "Year = " + Str(CurrYear)
Me.ForecastCurr .Form.FilterOn = True

I get a value in TextCurrYearTot al, but, of course, it's the wrong
value. My problem is that when I do this:

Me.ForecastCurr .Form.Filter = "Year = " + Str(CurrYear)
Me.ForecastCurr .Form.FilterOn = True
TextCurrYearTot al = Me.ForecastCurr .Form.[SumOfPeriods]

I get nothing in TextCurrYearTot al. I know I've got to set the filter
first or my summary field will be meaningless, but when I set the
filter first I get nothing in the summary field.

Anyone have any ideas on getting around this?

I had an Access database and I had always used in my tables (whenever possible) pop up lists to choose elements.. for example, for a column I've wrote in "Datensatzherkunft" SELECT tbl.field1 FROM tbl WHERE tbl.field2 LIKE 'XXX'; or I could say that only certain values are allowed: "X";"O";"S" as an example. Now I have exported my Access Database to MySql and established from Access a relation to MySQL so that I can update the database...

Hi all- I'm migrating to postgres from the MS SQL Server land, as I can see a great potential with postgres, I was wondering if anyone has experimented or started a project with XML inside user defined functions? I've seen the contrib/xml shipped with the distro, as I see it's usefulness, it's not quite what I had in mind (lacks the ablity to return recordset/table of nodes). Also, the project XpSQL seems

I'm on a team building some class libraries to be used by many other projects. Some members of our team insist that "All public methods should be virtual" just in case "anything needs to be changed". This is very much against my instincts. Can anyone offer some solid design guidelines for me? Thanks in advance....

I really need to use the "&" logical operator on a data column when using FilterRow, but apparantly the filter expressions do not support this. Is there any workaround for this?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
