Report from linked tables.

I have an Access database of two tables. One table is a vehicle inventory
table and the other is a vehicle maintenance table. There is one field
common between both tables and these fields are linked. This field is the
vehicle number. When I query the tables, I get the all the records that fit
the parameters of the query. Up to here, everything works fine. My problem
is I wish to create a report based on a query that will return a single
record from the inventory table and all the records from the maintenance
table. For example I would like the the report to return information from
the inventory table once in the heading of the report, unit number, tag
number, vin numbert etc. and then all the entries from the maintenance table
in the body of the report. Any help appreciated.

Put all the fields you want to see once per vehicle in the summary
section of the report and the rest in the detail section.

I am trying to create a report that displays a name of an advertising source and count of the number of times it was hit between certain date ranges. The data is split between two different databases: this access db, and a remote MySQL server. The MySQL tables are linked in the access db. What I have done so far is created an On Open event for a report that does the following: * prompt user for the date range * get which sources were...

Hello, trying to clean up other´s mess... I´ve replaced some tables (previously linked to another Access DB) with renamed tables linked to a PostgeSQL DB (removed spaces and Ümlauts in names, secured referential integrity). There´s one (probably more) report that doesn´t get the new name:

I'm trying to create a report in a dotnet.asp project. I made the report in Crystal Reports based on a dataset with two tables linked in a one to many relationship. The output report shows me duplicated records. For example, if one person has two medical visits I see four visits, two of these are completely duplicated. I don't understand why because the relation between the two tables has been defined. Has someone had the same problem?...

Using Access 2003 w/Windows XP. I have a database originally created with the tables internal. I split the database into a front-end/back-end with linked tables. Now when I open one of the reports, I get #error in some of the fields. I created two new databases from scratch and imported the front-end objects into one database and imported the tables into the other and re-linked them. I still get the error. The report is opened from a...

I have an Access 2003 MDE with a SQL Server 2000 back-end using ODBC linked tables. The MDE is shared among approximately 20 users. This is the environment; I don't have the ability to change it at this time. New reporting requirements really need to use an UDF to supply the result set. Which I believe requires a pass-through query. After changes are made to the development MDB by the development staff

Hi! I have an Access 97 report based on tables linked to an SQL back end. The report has 5 subreports in it (unfortunately unavoidable due to the nature of the report) and performance is quite slow. The query runs quickly and the report displays the first page in a short amount of time, but takes quite a while to format each page. This means it takes a long time to print the report (up to 50 mins to print around 360 pages!) as it...

I have a database that consists of several tables all linked by a school id number. The other tables hold data related to the schools. Another field common to all tables is a date field. I could use some direction on how to structure a query that selects data by school and year. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
