DataGrip Director Fatal Error - Need Advice/Help

Thank you for your help in advance!

I am having a serious difficulty with a database conversion utility
that I have created using Director and Datagrip to help support a
database application that we already have in the field.

We just updated our database structure and this utility reads
information from the previous version database and plugs it into the
new database.

I have opened connections to both the SOURCE file database and the
DESTINATION file database. My second step was to retrieve all data in
a single recordset from the SOURCE file. I then cycle through each
record and write old field data to the appropriate new fields.

I am receiving a "Fatal Error" and Director shutdown when running the
conversion utility from inside Director during design time. A
projector of the conversion utility produces a general fault error in
the DGREL.x32 module. From tracking logs, I have been able to
determine that the crash comes with the occurance of the 688th file
handle generated by the script...regard less of the sorting method used
on the SOURCE database.

Is there a known limitation in the number of file handles that can be
generated and used by Datagrip during any one execution?

Is there a simple solution to just apppend the SOURCE data to the
DESTINATION data using a single SQL statement from within Director??

Any help will be most appreciated.

Thanks,
MikeN

Just to let you know that "no responses does not mean your question has not
been read". I have not used either Datagrip nor Director, so can't give you
any suggestions, but I did read the question.
