Access 2000 connect to Outlook Inbox

Hi Everybody

I am looking for a way to connect and disconnect to the Ms Outlook
Inbox programmaticall y from a command button on a form .

At the moment it is easy enough to do by going to the database
container and doing the following:

1. select file
2. select Get external data
3. select Link tables
4. Go to the bottom of the dialog box that opens and select Files of
Type = Outlook
5. Select the Inbox. Bingo! It's done.

The problem is my users are on a runtime version which makes this
impossible.

Does anyone know of a way to do all that (cutting out as many of the
intermediate steps as possible) with the click of a button. And then
with the click of another button disconnect the Inbox when it is no
longer needed.

Regards Smilley Bob

I've got RH9 Linux with default PHP. Is there a way to send email on Linux to an Exchange Server from PHP and/or other tools when there is *NOT* SMTP access? Has anyone figured out a way to use PHP to get inside an OWA (Microsoft Outlook Web Access) website to send email that way? The reason I ask is because my corporate office is going to do away with our rogue SMTP server access and force everything through Exchange

Hi everybody I am using Access 2000 to link to the Outlook 2000 inbox in the recommended way, and it works as it should do, except that the messages that have been written on the original incoming eMail in HTML are invisible. Further investigation shows that nothing at all comes into this table so a "Data Access Page " is also out of the question. Hmmm! Where to go from here Any ideas

Hi Everybody I have an Access 2000 MDB with the Usual FrontEnd/BackEnd Arrangement. The program depends on being able link to "Inbox" in Ms Outlook 2000. This is easy enough to do from the FrontEnd and has been OK while me and the missus have been using the program ourselves. Now We want to be able to give the program to others who mainly do not have MS Access installed., or if they do, have no idea what it is

I'm trying to find a way to have those emails associated with the client's record. Any ideas? All I need is a nudge in the right direction ;) Thank you in advance!!!

Hi Everybody I have an Access 2000 query that "sees" the Outlook 2000 Inbox. This works fine until an email arrives where the subject field is empty (Null) This causes a type mismatch message. I have tried "Is Not Null" No Joy.

Hi all, I have done a lot of researching on the above topic and the only think I now know for sure is that I have to use either CDO or MAPI. What I need to do is this: I want to write a C# desktop application that will connect to the exchange server and retrieve mail from an inbox. The features are as follows: 1) I need to be able to specify the URL of the server I am connecting to

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
