Report - Output to Snapshot ... then Email as Attachment using Outlook Express !

Hi !! I have been browsing around but have not been able to find a
simple, lucid solution ... or maybe I'm just too confused. I know this
has been asked before by many ... but pls bear with me.

Step 1:
I want to place a button which outputs my report as a snapshot to a
specific folder. What is he VBA code to acomplish this ?

Step2:
I want to place a button which emails the above generated report using
outlook express as an attachment. What is he VBA code to acomplish
this ?

Step 3:
I want to place a button which does both the above in a single step
i.e. outputs the report as a snapshot to a designated folder & then
emails it as an attachment using Outlook Express. What is he VBA code
to acomplish this ?

Thx & Best Rgds,
Prakash.

Hello..I'm not a guru on VB, but I think I cud [minorly] help you with
the emailing. But first I need to ask you if you need to email a
folder, and not a report. Because if you're mailing a report, then
there a way to do it with the command button wizard. Just create a
button, and when the wizard pops up, do: Report operations, then Mail
report..then choose the report to send.
Thats easy enough, and I suppose maybe u already knew that[?]. Sorry I
couldnt be more of a help.
help this helps.

There is built in functionality for exporting a report to a file
(DoCmd.OuputTo) .

There is built in functionality for emailing a report (DoCmd.SendObje ct)

There is nothing built in that would let you create an Email with an external
file as an attachment. For that you would have to use automation to manipulate
an external messaging library like CDO, MAPI, or Outlook.

I'm using Access 97. In the OnClick event of a button I have the code below. I looks at txtEmail and sends an e-mail message without further action from the user (user does not have to click Send as he would if he used DoCmd.SendObject.) However, I want to attach a report in Snapshot format. How would I modify my code to include a report? Thank you, JD

I would like to generate a report (I have the report working already) using MS/ACCESS 2000 and then have the ability to send the report as an email attachment to my colleagues. I have looked around in the MS/ACCESS Help facility and found that I can click on FILE (on the Menu Bar) and then click on SEND TO. This will generate, either, a 'Snapshot format' or 'Rich Text Format' file and send an email. Two problems: 1. Is it possible to...

I was wondering if it would be possible to snapshot an access report to Outlook, and have fields come in the To: and Cc: fields, and also the subject field of the email as well. Right now, I am able to click on a button on an access form, and have it snapshot the report to an email. Here is the code: **************************************************************** Sub cmdSaveRecord_Click() Dim stDocName As String

Hello All, I'm nearing the end of my current project and the users came up with 2 more requests. I'll talk about the first one in this message. I've developed (with much help from this group) a vb.net app and is being put into the users hands this week. I am using Crystal Report X to produce reports. The users now, rather than printing, want them emailed and produced in .pdf format also. So rather than me re-inventing the wheel, I'm...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
