Hi all,
I'm working on the schema for a database that must represent data about stock
& bond funds over time. My connundrum is that, for any of several dimension
fields, including the fund name itself, the dimension may be represented in
different ways over time, and may split or combine from one period to the
next.
When querying from the database for an arbitrary time period, I need the data
to be rolled up to the smallest extent...

I have some data in a table structured like this:
Date Cust_ID CUSIP Amount
01/31/2005 060208 02507M303 27,061.84
02/28/2005 060208 02507M303 32,049.00
Is there a way to construct a query that will give me the difference by
customer and CUSIP by month?
The real app has over 200,000 records (12 months with 20,000+ entries per

I have a problem of number and text field.
I got the database file(mdb) that contains many combo boxes used and
its list values are created by "value list"
For eg field
Field name= 'furniture' , data type='Number' ,Display Control='Combo
Box', RowSource Type = 'Value List' and
Row Source = ' 0;"chair";1;"Table";2;"Bed" '
Therefore, in data sheet view of table, if we select (1 : Table ) ,

Hi All,
I need to select data from a database table containing huge amount of
data. Now I am storing data using one primary key and I am just using
simple select statement, and this process gives me the output but it is
taking long to execute the query. As much I had heared I want to use
some indexing or cluster indexing which might help me but I am not so
familiar with these things. So if any one having some solutions to

the document and place it as an OLE object to the relevant table?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've used a data field as the rowsource for a combo box many times.
The main advantage that I see is that a separate table of say,
"Customers" does not have to be constantly updated. When a new
Customer is added to the data table in question, they appear in the
combobox that uses the Customers field as its rowsource the next time
round.
I've only done this in databases where the record count will never get
to more than about 10000. Are...

Dear Access Group:
This is the most basic and most embarrassing of questions, but I
cannot find where to change the data type of a text field that I have
in Access 2003 to a number field. I've searched high and low through
help databases and on the internet.
The directions say to :
Open the table in Design view
Click the Data Type column of the field you want to change, click the

Hello good people,
Please bear with me as this is my first post and I am relative new to ASP. I do have VB6 experience. I have a form which enables users within our company to do an intranet reservation of available resources (laptops, beamers, etc). The MySql database queries are already in place, as is the ASP administration panel. The frontend that users will see however, still needs some work. I'm really close, but since I'm no...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
