I have just had to upgrade to Access 2003 as Access 97 EMail (SendObject)
doesn't work when loaded on Windows XP. I'm finding my way around Access
2003 but my biggest problem is getting information. When I bought Access 1.0
many years ago, I got a paper manual and an excellent help file with all you
needed to know. With Access 97 the manual came as a 'Building Applications'
document on the CD and I still had the excellent help. With Access...

I have a user who currently has Access 97 installed on her PC. She
has purchased a new PC and would like to have Access installed on it.
She would like to upgrade her current Access to Access 2003.
When installing the Access 2003 upgrade on the new PC, do I have to
install Access 97 first, then run the Access 2003 upgrade CD? And if
so, do I need any unlocking or any type of codes during the Access 97
installation? Or can I just run...

Is there a way to upgrade from Visual C++ Net 2002 to
Visual C++ Net 2003? The 2002 version does not provide
a Windows Forms Designer. I can't find any upgrade package
on Microsoft's website.
Thanks,

Today I upgraded from Framework 1.0 to 1.1 and Visual Studio from 7.0 (2002)
to 7.1 (2003).
Following the upgrade my web site renders HTML with all control style width
and height properties missing. Here is a before and after sample of a piece
of rendered HTML for a button that has its designer property set to 80px:
<input type="submit" name="btnLogin" value="Login" id="btnLogin"
style="width:80px;" />

Hello,
There are often questions in this newsgroup posted by VS.NET 2002 users.
VS.NET 2002 is "out of date", its successor is VS.NET 2003.
There is a special ("cheap") upgrade offer available for $29 US. This offer
is open only until September 30, 2003. You will get more information about
this offer here:

Hi
I have started using a year old version VB.Net Standard Version 2003
recently. I purchase a "how to" book and noticed that the book had several
extra object properties displayed in it's version of VB.net than mine.
(Example, a panel on a web form didn't display an option to change the
innerText of the panel in my version).
Thought I needed an upgrade after a year of hibernation but when I tried to
use the "Check for Updates" menu...

We are running an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. Our network guy is
upgrading to Windows Server 2003 and wants to upgrade Office and SQL Server
at the same time. We're moving to SQL Server 2005, and, since he already has
licenses for Office Pro 2002, he wants to upgrade to that.
I've been saying that we need to upgrade to Access 2003, not 2002, even if
Office is kept at 2002. We are also looking to do a fair amount of...

I need to create a large number of VS 2005 .csproj files from an equal number
of VS 2003 .csproj files so that I can use msbuild with MSBee to build .NET
1.1 software.
My question, is there a command line utility that can be scripted that would
take as input a vs 2003 .csproj file and make a vs 2005 .csproj file with a
different file name? I want to keep the orinals around for backward
compatability, at least for the short term. Does...

Hello!
I have VS 2003 which use .NET 1.1 but I have download and installed .NET 2.0
from MS but some files are missing.
The download and installation was successful.
The main reason for me to use .NET 2.0 is to be able to use the ClickOnce
technology that exist in VS 2005 but according to
an answer from this new group this ClickOnce feature exist in .NET 2.0 that
can be downloaded from MS.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
