I have checked the "Alignment and Sizing" toolbar but when I want to

out. What am I missing.

Thanks!

Here is a note that Macdermott posted about this issue:

"OK, I finally got out the toolbar and looked at it myself.
It behaves exactly as you describe.

A little more research shows that it is intended to be used with Data
Access
Pages, not regular forms.
So I guess you're stuck with either
using the Format Menu items (I know, more clicks), or
importing your custom toolbar into new databases.
Unless, of course, you're an advanced enough programmer to write your
own
Add-In. <g>

Sorry I couldn't be more help...

Do you know how modify the normal template for Access so these buttons
will be available all the time?

Hey Salad thanks again for sharing your knowledge!

Your exactly correct I did not see the size buttons either but that is
not my issue. When I open up my toolbars from the view menu I have
several choices like "Database", "Web", Menu Bar" etc. I also so have
a toolbar called "Alignment and Sizing". When I select it will appear
in my Access Window and I can dock it or move it around just like any
other menu. It is grayed out and I can't use it even when I select
several objects in Design View. This is the same for me on both
Access 2002 and Access 2003. I'm not real sure which version of MS
Office these apps came from but I kong that I don't have Office
Developer. So this feature should be standard.

So did you add those commands to the menu for FormDesign instead? One
never knows if something was created at the MS factory simply to
frustrate the developers out there. If I can add them to my standard
FormDesign toolbar, I assume you can do the same in the new versions and
if they work, ignore the one that doesn't.

What version are you using? In A97, I don't see them. I could not find
the Size options (widest/narrowist, shortest/tallest) but the
left/right/top/bottom I could.

I selected View/Customize, selected the toolbar FormDesign, selected
Commands, and then dragged the Left/Right/Top/Bottom buttons onto it.
Works fine for me. Is that what you are referring to? I wish I could
find the Size buttons tho.

Since the FormDesign toolbar is always available to me when I am
designing a form, I click View/Customize, select/check FormDesign,
click Commands tab, slide down the command list to Forms/Report Design,
and drag the menu items I want to add to the FormsDesign toolbar.

If later on you want to remove them you simply do a View/Customize,
select/check FormDesign and press Reset.

Dear all, I was reading the ISO/IEC 9899 , and see the following thing: 6.7.1 10 . An implementation may allocate any addressable storage unit large enough to hold a bit- field. If enough space remains, a bit-field that immediately follows another bit-field in a structure shall be packed into adjacent bits of the same unit. If insufficient space remains, whether a bit-field that does not fit is put into the next unit or overlaps...

Hi C# wizards, I would like to ask you the following question: I'm working on a program with a mainform (a mdiParent called frmMain) and a childform (called frmNieuwk). I use the library from CommandBar that gives me the new Luna look from Micros$oft, so that gives me a toolbar + menubar with several buttons.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
