MySQL 4.0.x
I'm attempting to convert a number of apps to MySQL backends. Having
converted the tables from the MDB backend, I'm running into a number of
differences in behavior between the app using the MDB backend and that
using the MySQL backend.
Several problems seem to boil down to the following: A "Single Form"
view form which allows users to both edit existing records and add new
records. "Allow Edits/Additions/Deletions" set to YES; "Data Entry" set
to NO.
With the MDB backend, if there are no records in the recordset
associated with the form, all of the form's controls are visible, with
defaults set, ready to create a new record. With the same form and the
MySQL backend, the form opens plain grey - no controls are visible,
apparently because there is no Current Record.
What can I do to the MySQL-related for to restore the
let-user-add-a-new-record behavior which works so well with the MDB
backend?

a few days ago I installed XAMPP in my Windows 2000 machine, it
completely messed my existing MySQL installation.. I've had it installed
for over a year now (4.1) have never had any problems with it whatsoever
(I connect to it from Tomcat and from stand-alone Java classes), now

apache_2.2.14
i also have IIS 6 on my windows vista.
but apache and php is working fine as i changed the port no for IIS, i presume.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
