Snapshot Reports Still Font Dependent?

Well, I am disappointed. We were using the Snapshot format to send a
report via Email for a returned goods document that we want the recipient
to print and attach to the part. To expedite receiving at our end the
report includes a bar code of the document ID number which can then be
scanned by our receiving department.

I have always been under the impression that the Snapshot Format is
essentially an Image file and that it should be WYSIWYG barring the odd
printer driver issue. Now I'm discovering that the recipient apparently
has to have our barcode font installed or the report on their end just
substitutes a regular font for the bar code.

I doubt that there is a resolution to this issue, I just thought I would
share it with the group. Yet another reason to go with PDF I suppose.
Just wish there was an easy way to make that fully automated without
getting into external controls and such.

I discovered the same thing, in much the same way a couple of years ago. I
didn't think to make a post out of it, I assumed that I was last the to
know. :-) However, rather than using a pdf I started printing tiffs using a
third party control. At the time it was cheaper and everyone who was
running windows 9x and up had access to a free viewer, which was everyone we
did business with. And it produced a smaller file with compression than a
pdf.

FWIW there might be a solution which doesn't use troublesome controls at Creating PDF
files from within Microsoft Access http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/pdffiles.htm
Although something would still have to be installed.

I'm trying my first table-less site, and I've bumped my head up against a wall. I can't change the font size within a div. Real quick, my style sheet has: ------------------------------------- body { font: 8pt "face" } #nav {float: left; width: 144px; } #test { font: 12pt; font-weight: bold } -------------------------------------

Hello All: I have been brought onboard to help on a project that had some performance problems last year. I have taken some steps to address the issues in question, but a huge question mark remains. Last year, all of the tables and reports were stored in Access. The database was put online so that end users could access the reports online using Snapshot Viewer. The reports were aggregated on the fly, and the selection criteria...

Hope someone can help. I have an application whereby in order to create one document type I effectively print out 3 or 4 access reports in correct order. So the user goes to the printer, collects the report and has no idea that 3 or 4 reports were actually created in order to produce the printed copy. I now have a need to send that same report to a 'Snapshot' file. Is there a way to combine separate Access reports and have them...

Hi: I have the following line: DoCmd.SendObject acSendReport, "TestReport", _ "SnapshotFormat (*.snp)", _ "joeblow@nowhere.com", , , "Report Test", _ "Does it open correctly?", True I have a report called TestReport. I dropped an image control in the report, and imported a .BMP file into it as the report's background, and sent it to back. I then dropped my fields on top of the image.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
