DDE & Access 2003

What about DDE & Access 2003?

I see in msdn and I found methods for Access 2002/XP and 2000, but nothing
for 2003..
Is the same method like in 2000 or 2002?

Thanx in advance.

Try it.

DDE has been on its way out for many years. Don't rely on it being
here forever.

In our old VB 6 application we utilize a mail merge feature of Word 97 with MS Access. A table in Access is populated from VB and a Word template is wired to that table. So all we do in the code is call the merge method of Word. Problem: We are moving to VB.NET (VS 2005) and Office 2003. I want to bypass Access and either use a connection to SQL or a parametrized stored procedure. I found some samples, but was not able to open the...

My A2003 is set up so that the default file format is Access 2000 (options, advanced tab). I've just tried to make my first A2003 mdb into an mde and I get an error saying: "you cannot create a <mdb name> ADE or MDE from a dtabase saved in <mdb name> 2000 format." Also, in help there's a curious note I simply don't understand which I've reproduced below (help on mde, "About ADE & MDE files"). I'm a former A97 developer, can someone...

Hello all... I'm coming from a Borland Delphi background. Delphi has a specific component called a Data Module. In the designer the Data Module behaves like a windows form. A developer can drop non-visual (controls) on the data module surface and wire them up and create procedures, functions, event procedures. In the source file (code behind file) the Data Module is a class, and the dropped components are public properties. The...

We have an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. We are upgrading SQL Server to SQL 2005, and are considering upgrading to Access 2003. Someone mentioned that they had heard about some incompatibilities between Access 2003 and SQL Server 2005. Anyone hear of anything? And, if so, would staying with Access 2000 be better? Thanks! Neil

I add a JavaScript event handler to some of my Webcontrols using the Attributes.Add() method as follows: Dim jscode as String = "return (event.keyCode>=65&&event.keyCode<=90);" TextBox2.Attributes.Add("onKeyPress", jscode) You will notice that jscode contains the JavaScript Logical And operator (&&). However, ASP.NET renders this as && in the code that is

Hello, I have code within my DB application to process credit cards through authorize.net. Ive been using the same code for several years without a problem. I have an order entry computer and after reinstalling Win XP, we used Office/Access 2003. When we try to process CC's we get a debug screen and Access itself crashes. However, the code still runs fine on Access/Office XP. The debug screen says: Method 'doSSLPost' of object...

Hi! We have a VB application using Crystal Reports 6 that has worked successfully on hundreds of systems for over 10 years. Now, on one network, the application and access database does not close. It seems to hang on the command. When we open the application an peruse the screens without opening up a report (using crystal reports), the application and access db closes fine. But as soon as we run a report and then close the report and...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
