combining subreports based on conditions

I have a report containing multiple subreports (approximately 37
subreports) that are based on individual queries. The query calls to
only display the subreport if there is valid data in the table (that
the subreport is based on). Because the subreport may not always
appear, there are spaces in between the subreports that do contain
valid data. Is there any way to resize or reformat the main report so
all subreports with valid data follow one right after the other? Any
help would me much appreciated!! I have been stuck with this problem
for quite some time and would love any help!! Thanks.

I'm not quite sure how your report sections and the 37 subreports are
arranged, but perhaps simply specifying the CanShrink property of the
SubReport Controls will do what you want.

I have created the following interest to calculate the interest for the following currency pairs. I have tried to combine them in macros using conditions but the next query that is run in the macro ends up deleting the previous interest value that has been generated by the query. For example if query 1 is run on the table with currency pair USD/CHF then the interest will be updated without any problem but if there is another entry in the...

I have a report that includes 5 different subreports. I'd like to be able to open this report using a date function (Start Date and End Date). I'd like all five subreports to show the data from those dates. I have learned how to use this start/end function but I can't figure out how to use it with these subreports. Right now the report opens but asks for start/end dates for each of the five reports. Is there a way I can input one set of...

Using A2K. I've been asked to modify a report currently requiring only one date parameter to now accept a date range. The main report has 2 subreports and is not bound to a table or query. The report prints dental and hygenist appointments for the date (one subreport for each). The user wants to enter a date range and have one page for each date in the date range. I'm wondering how to modify the report. The only way I see is to create...

I need MS Access to automatically create reports/subreports based on specific criteria. I am building a database in Access 2003 with different locations/sites. I have the "sites" table created containing site info, including an empty field for "date". I also have a report format already created displaying the site info. I need Access to ask the user for a date, calculate three additional dates using the entered date (adding or subtracting...

I have an application with a number of reports, some in Landscape, some in Portrait orientation. I need to be able to select each of these reports separately at times. However, at the end of each month I need to be able to create sets of three different reports to send to clients, ideally as a single report. I had thought of making the second and third reports as subreports of the first report but the mixup of paper orientations is a...

I have a report that keeps track of sales by company for any given month within a year. I am using two subreports embedded within a report to produce 2006 (one subreport) and 2007 (the other subreport) sales by station for any month I choose. The report works but I have two issues: 1) The subreports are located in the detail section of the report. The report should be three pages long but the report keeps repeating the data for a total of...

Hello, I have a main report with a Record Source, a DateToday table, that has the current Month and Year. I have about 60 queries, each pulling different data via ODBC, that I am creating subreports that go on the main report. The problem is that when I run the report the data shows on the screen but not the print preview. I am aware that the main report is not linked to the subreports because of the Link Master, Child Fields issue....

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
