File/Get Data won't attach to a SQL table.

In Access 97, I am trying to attach to a table in my SQL Server 2000
db.

I use File/Get Data, which displays all the SQL tables including the
one I can't attach to. (I can attach to all the other SQL tables.)

But, when I select that table I get a message that tells me the name
is invalid. I don't understand this because it gives me the name in
the Get Data dialog, and I don't have to enter it manually.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Bob C.

Throw us a bone :-) What is the name of the table?

The table name is "CommunityCommi ssionDetail".

Among the possible problems listed in the message, the only one that
made any sense was: filename may be too long.

But, I have two tables with slightly longer names that attached and
work just fine.

Thanks.

I've seen plenty of examples of file uploads in ASP.NET when the only form element is the file input type, but I've not seen a practical example of a file upload routine running alongside other form elements, e.g. a text box for a description for example. If the form is being posted in multipart format then the text coming through will need to be converted first, won't it? The other issue is that if the form is posted, and the...

I have an aspx page with a data grid, some textboxes, and an update button. This page also has one html input element with type=file (not inside the data grid and runat=server). The update button will verify the information that has been entered and updates the data base if the data is correct. Update will throw an exception if the data is not validate based on some given rules. I also have a custom error handling page to show the...

Howdy I've got a rather strange issue occuring. I used forms based .NET authentication, although I'm also setting some session variables when people login. However, I've found when people use one of my webform pages which includes a button that pops up a window where you can upload files, if you upload files in this popup window, it seems to somehow clear out all of the session variables and the users get logged out. However, if...

After reading a tutorial and fiddling, I finally got this to work. I can now put two tables created with a DataTable class into a DataRelation. Phew! And it works! Dim tblSliceInfo As New DataTable("SliceInfo") Dim tblSliceRatings As New DataTable("SliceRatings") '.... All the adding datacolumns, datarows, etc. goes here.. DatasetInit.Tables.Add(tblSliceInfo)

I'm still having a hell of a time figuring out this whole SQL Express set up. I finally discovered why I couldn't run the aspnet_regsql...my local sql server wasn't running. I turned that on, and now I can see a list of DBs running locally. However, the .mdf file I have in my app_data folder does NOT appear on this list.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
