import picture to Access2003

Hi to all,

I havea big DB with information and pictures of our employees and this
DB is used by a lot of people in our company.
The data format is Access2000.
In the past the import of pictures without problem, I clicked in a
form -> import object -> create new -> MS Photo editor -> etc.
On my desktop I have now installed Office2003 and here is not more
the MS Photo Editor but the MS Office Picture Manager and he is not
listed in the Create object form and if I import the picture directly
from the *.jpg file in the form is visible only a icon.

Have somebody an idea how to solve thsi problem?

Best regards from Prague

You need to get hold of your Office Xp or even 2K disks so that you can
install MS Photo Editor off of one of these previous editions of MS
Office.
Alternatively, you can contact MS PSS and see if you can get them to
send you a CD.

You may want to look at the Northwind example database. There is an
Employee form that has pictures like I think you're wanting.

Good luck,

jlm

P.S. Will be traveling to your city in April.

Perhaps it is time to reconsider whether using OLE Objects and OLE Frames is
the appropriate method to achieve your purpose. As you have discovered, when
you do so, you are captive to the limitations and restrictions of whatever
imaging software is registered for the file type of the image.

The sample imaging databases at http://accdevel.tripod.com illustrate three
approaches to handling images in Access, and the download includes an
article discussing considerations in choosing an approach. Two of the
approaches do not use OLE Objects and, thus, avoid the database bloat, and
other problems, associated with images in OLE Objects.

If you are printing the images in reports, to avoid memory leakage, you
should also see MVP Stephen Lebans' http://www.lebans.com/printfailures.htm.
PrintFailure.zi p is an Access97 MDB containing a report that fails during
the Access formatting process prior to being spooled to the Printer Driver.
This MDB also contains code showing how to convert the contents of the Image
control to a Bitmap file prior to printing. This helps alleviate the "Out of
Memory" error that can popup when printing image intensive reports.

Hoping someonce can tell me what compatibility problems I might run into when I have to have my Access Project developed on Access2K run in a user environment where users are using Access2003 as well as Access2000. I have already seen a problem where if I open my project using Access2003 and save any objects, then run it on Access2000, I encounter "Bad DLL Calling Convention error..." on the Access2K machines. If I never open and save the...

Hi All We have upgraded from Access2000 to Access2003 with all service packs. The problem that we have is: When a user try's to filter a client the database crashes and close's Access2003, this is happening on a regular basis. We never had this problem in Access2000. Would it be something to do with code?

Hello. Could somebody explain the following situation: I have a .mdb on my notebook with Windows XP SP2 and Access 2003. With the help from members in the VB forum I've pieced together code that works in VB6 to create radial text similar to "text on a path" seen in graphics programs.(on a circle only) I use an Access2003 app to gather the data via a barcode reader which is then concatenated for the radial text. Is there any possibility that this code can be converted to run in Access2003? Option Explicit

Hi, I am creating reports using VBA code. I have the same query in a querydef residing both in Access97 and Access2003. The result of this querydef is then moved to a table in Access97 and Access2003 respectively. The table in Access97 returns 874 rowcount, table in Access 2003 returns 1050 rowcount. In both the case the querydef is retrieving from the same database which resides in SQL Server 2003. I executed the application Access97 and...

Convert them to CSV in Excel, then use TransferText (which does not work correctly and also doesn't accept XLS/Excel files directly) or create a link to an Excel XLS workbook and do an Append Query (as some have suggested here)?? I find that hard to believe as Access is part of MS Office and Visual FoxPro is not. I split my time using both and I can do a simple copy command to XLS in VFP or an Append command to DBF or use Office...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
