I've run into a random problem with creating mailing labels through
access, and I can't seem to find a solution for it. I'm running
Access 2000 on Windows 2000. I'm using the label wizard to create
Avery 5160 mailing labels. When I first create the labels they look
fine and will print out fine. But at some random interval, they lose
their formatting. Instead of going left-to-right, top-to-bottom, all
of the labels are printed straight down the leftmost column. I am not
making any changes to the labels once the wizard has created them. I
find that if I re-create the labels, they will work for a while, but
then lose the formatting again. Does anyone know what might be
causing this? I can't seem to find an answer on google so I'm not
sure if it's access or me. (My money is on me) Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Andrea 3 2946
The label wizard that you've used probably created a report that you've
saved so as to run it again as needed.
A2k has a known bug where reports lose their margin settings if the
"Auto-Correct" settings are enabled. If you turn those settings "off" and
fix the margins (or run the wizard again), then you should be ok.
The settings are in Tools -> Options -> General -> Name AutoCorrect

I guess this will be a problem with all reports - not just wizard-generated
labels. Have you updated your office installation? In the meantime
re-set the page setup, then Tools>Options>G eneral Tab and switch off the
name auto-correct feature.

It sounds as if you may be running Access 2000 without SP-1.
While that configuration may occasionally function adequately in running
applications, IMHO it should never be used for any kind of development.
Get the Service Pack.

Hello, all -
I would like to produce Avery labels, #5931, from a database I've built for
a client. I can't seem to find this Avery number in the list of labels that
pops up when one uses the label wizard.
This is a label for CD and DVD media - Word 2002 has the template built in,
but Access 2002 doesn't seem to. Does this mean I have to use a "mail-merge"
type activity, or can I get Access to use the Word template somehow?

Sorry for posting such an easy question but a while ago I created some
address labels using the label wizard in Access. Now I can't seem to find
it! Can someone point me to the label wizard? I need to make some more.

when settingup a label report in access using the wizard the resulting
previw and print out is not as it should be .... example is using Avery
labels(or any other). 24 to page ...3col by 8 rows... only 7 rows
display....
Q. 1.. how can this be overcome to display correct number of rows.....
and 2.. if one edits the report/label to change to custom .the
latter rows of address labels 'creep' up the page so last row is printed
on row...

I am trying to get MS Access 2000 to print names and addresses onto a
Dymo 400 label printer, I have set the Access Report to automatically
select the correct printer, then select the label size of “99012 Large
Address”.
This works fine but when I move my database to another PC (with
identical Dymo printer and drivers) the report defaults to the correct
printer but does not select the label “99012 Large Address”. On
different PC’s it...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
