Aaaaaarrgghh ! (that's better)
I am trying to convert a field within my Oracle 9i Database that is of
type BLOB (but this BLOB may contain a combination of clobs/varchars or
images such as gif images, jpg images) to Microsoft SQL Server 2000
using Microsoft DTS.
On trying to perform this simple conversion I recieved the error "Need
to run the object to perform the operation - Exception Access
Violation" from Microsoft DTS and my table...

Hi,
I've recently upgraded from Access 97 to Access 2002 & the performance
basically stinks. I have tried the following items listed below but it
has only had a minor impact:
1) Upgraded Jet 4 to Service Pack 7
2) Set Subdatasheet Name to from
3) Shortened the file name of the .MDB file
4) Made sure the Track name AutoCorrect info is off

once again I look forward to your invaluable assistance.
When converting an Access 2002 mdb back to Access 1997 using the Access 2002
inbuilt tools I receive the following error message "Some errors happened
during the conversion. No converted database was generated". This message is
not of great assistance to me in sorting out the error!!
I have not been able to find any helpful support on where to start looking

files, not the MDW file). In addition we ported the Access application
from a Citrix NT server to a Citrix XP server.
We users accessing the application Globally via the Citrix Servers and
have been experiencing the following error on a daily basis:

Hello,
I created an Access database in Access 2002-2003 that I am trying to
convert to Access 2000. During conversion, I get error "The report
name ' dirDataCopy' you entered in either the property sheet or macro
is misspelled or refers to a report that doesn't exit." I click 'ok',
the word 'Converting' stays on the screen, and the progress bars never
finish.

Could anyone please help me to understand what is happening here? The
commented line produces an error, which is what I expected given that
there is no conversion defined from type double to type Test. I
expected the same error from the following line, but it compiles fine.
The double is silently truncated to an int and then fed in to the
implicit conversion operator. Why does this happen? Is there any way

I maintain a shared database on Access 97. I've just tried converting
a test copy of the database to 2003 and it appeared to work OK. That
is I got no error messages. However then I look at my modules, only 2
out of 9 have copied across.
Do I need to do something special to recompile modules and take them
across to the new version? I thought the conversion process would just

I have just been asked to port an Access 97 app from an old Pentium 3
to a new Pentium Core-2-Duo PC.
On the new PC, Office 2003 is installed. On opening the database,
Access provided me with an option to convert the database which I did.
However, there are a couple of small issues. For one, there were a
couple of conversion errors which it stored in a conversion errors

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
