Hi Group:
I would like to know if it is possible to change the name of an
attribute to something else. My setup is like this: I have serveral SQL
tables that I nest and join so that it all outputs into a nice XML file
for the purpose of populating a flash navigation menu.
<NewDataSet>
<mainMenu_category menu_name="Home" menu_ID="1">
<menu menu_ID="1" />

Hi there,
I just distributed an application in which I (try to) change db.properties depending on
CurrentUser()
For instance I set the property's AllowBypassKey and AllowBuiltinToolbars to False when
CurrentUser() <> "xx"
I just noticed that the property's can only be changed changed by a user belonging to 'Admins'.
I never noticed this before.
I could swear that in other apps (A97) this works fine without the user being an admin...

Hi there - it's pretty simple, and I'm an idiot. I'm not a developer,
I just seem to have landed in this job building this Access database -
I've got two days to make it work... aaahh!
1) Within the User Interface, I've got a separate section for the
administrator to modify the data in the tables, via a series of
add/remove/edit forms. I'd like to control the opening of the
maintenance menu (on click of a button on the main front...

Can't open my .mdb
I was experimenting with opening an access database in IIS. For
experimenting, I have an .mdb called HasbaraSample. In this case I copied it
to the C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Access folder.
I had various problems trying to get it to open in IIS. I went to asp.net
forums and was told to right_click the app_data folder and click the security
tab.
To make a long story short, that never worked out.

Hi
I have an MS Access based application almost ready for distribution to
the public and I find that even though I have compiled it into an MDE
file, tables and queries can still be be imported if accessed by
another MS Access database. How can I stop this please?
Regards

Hi:
I have created a secured database for a client. For various reasons, I
don't want the client to have full persmissions for the database; they
aren't in the admins group. I have instead tried to create a second
group, called "localAdmin," for the admin-type person at the client. I
want this group to be able to do some basic admin-type stuff, including
adding new users and clearing passwords if users forget theirs.
I can't seem to...

I am just beginning to implement user-level security in Access 2003. I created a user account and it is assigned to the users group. I would like to assign a password for this account (or for the users group), but am not given the option to do so. (I am trying under Tools > Security > User and Group Accounts > Change Logon Password.) Only the admin userid is available. Is it because there is currently no password assigned for admin that I...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
