HiTech United Weekly Newsletter

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HiTechUnited (Source of articles about
the HiTech Underemployment Crisis)
HiTechUnited is a weekly newsletter, delivered Mondays, written by and
for underemployed/unemployed HiTech workers. Subscribers believe
something can be done to improve our situation and we can "Work It
Out" together.

If you've been downsized from HiTech and care about the revival of the
HiTech industry(in whatever new form), make a difference by
contributing your ideas or story. In order to control the quality and
spirit of this initiative, all suggestions and comments will be
reviewed. The newsletter will compile the best emails received and
some contributors may be asked to be interviewed by local or national
media. One line classified ads are also posted.

Politicians, media persons or enterprise executives may also subscribe
to this group and review our archives. We wish to be transparent to
all who care about finding intelligent solutions for our technological
intellectual resources.

Emails must be constructive and solution oriented. Whenever possible
site sources and include links to give more credibility to your
position or comment. All newsletters will be archived here and can be
viewed and searched by all members. THE QUALITY OF THIS NEWSLETTER
WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE QUALITY OF INPUT OF ITS MEMBERS. I'll only
edit and distribute.

If you help others join this group and our numbers reach a critical
mass, then the probability that we will find collective and individual
solutions will increase.

The second edition of this newsletter will be Monday, Feb 2, 2004.
Please submit your ideas or ads today.

Hello, We are looking for a Newsletter Program that is tested and is knowing to work with PHP/MySQL. We will be having allot of people use this newsletter so it should be able to handle sending lots of emails. Also we would need to be able to send the newsletters in HTML format. Free or paid programs are not an issue, just as long as the program works. Thanks,

They would like a script where they can easily compose and send the newsletter. I can write that, but wouldnt like to reinvent the weel. Does anybody here have any good recomendations on newsletter composing/sending software? Userfriendliness and simplicity is the key. TIA, Nis.

Hi, I'm developing a software to send newsletter to the users of my website. I have a problem on the stats, detecting the opening of the newsletter on the user's client. The method I've chosen uses an html img tag like this: <img src="detectscript.php?email=1234"/> The script "detectscript.php" uses the email-id passed to save the event "mail open". The script save the "opening" information on the db
