THere must be an easy way to do the following, but I'm drawing a
blank.
I have 2 forms frmA and frmB. I double click on a text box in frmA
and open frmB. In frmB, I select an item and close. On the close
button I stuff the selected value back into the text box on frmA via.
I need to make frmB generic so it can stuff its value back into the
same type of text box on MANY different forms in my app. I pass in
the name of the calling...

I've been working around this for years (I believe), so I figured someone
here might know:
Why won't a crosstab query accept a value from a form reference?
TRANSFORM Format(First(QtrAvg),'Fixed') AS FirstQtrAvg
SELECT PropertyCode, Survey, Question
FROM SurveyData
WHERE PropertyCode = Forms.MainForm.Subform.Form.PropertyCode
GROUP BY PropertyCode, Survey, Question

I have a main form with 2 subforms, each subform references different
data in the same table.
How do I make sure each subform only creates NEW records in the
referenced table and do not overwrite or change data in previously
created rows??
Otherwise I have to use two different tables, with similar kinds of
data, for each subform, which may well be the way to go even though
it's not really normalized, to make the data entry easier and...

I have an unbound main form with an unbound subform.
frmProjects
fsubProjectList
Using combo boxes, the user can select several search criteria on
frmProjects and then click a command button. The command button passes
the criteria as a string to a query. A subform, which is based on this
query, shows the results of the search.

For the third one, in the Immediate window:

How can I filter records of a subform that is part of a tab control?
The filter works fine on the form when it is not part of the tab using
this in the macro condition:
!!="Today"
I have a main form with a tab control which has three tabs and on each
tab there is a subform.
Main Form: frmEmploymentVerification
Tab Control Name: TabEmployment

I think at various times we've all encountered this problem:
A subform is on a main form. From the code of the main form we refer
to some property of/control on the child form thus:
Me!subForm.Form!txtTextBox
and for some reason, in certain contexts, we get the error:
Error 2455: You entered an expression that has an invalid reference

Hello
I am trying to pass the name of my subform to a function/sub but I can't
seem to get it to work. I am using an autokey function (ctrl E) to unlock
text boxes on a subform. I have a few forms in the database that will use
this function, so I need to be able to tell the code which form to unlock.
What I have is as follows:
Public Function akeyEdit()

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
