Sub Report controls for printing

Hi,

I've got a sub report that has been set to print down then across as the
data is sorted in date order. This sub report displays and prints as per my
design when dealt with as a stand alone report. However, when the sub
report is embedded into the main report, the sub report will only show and
print data when the main reports Can Grow controls for the detail section
are set to Yes. I've tried all settings I can think of for the main report,
even to the extent of putting only the sub report in the details section -
still to no avail. Obviously if I change the sub reports settings back to
print across then down, all is well, but it's definately not what I want.

Any suggestions??

Multi-Column subreports have to snake across, then down unless they have CanGrow
turned off. Subreports have no sense of the page events in the parent so a
downward column has no idea when to start a new column.

Hi Guys: I was stuck. I needed to send a report to a file. My beautiful report(s) in Access were going to require loss of formatting with RTFs, a PITA in WordMailMerge, sending it as a text file...whatever. Most suggestions on this topic recommend to use a page footer and make it visible only on the last page. I am having problems formatting an Access 2003 report which is trivial in the extreme (tabular layout, 9 fields from 1 table per row in the detail section, no groups/totals). One field (only) in the row can be longer than its text-box on rare occasions, so I've made the text-box and detail section CanGrow properties = Yes. This has had one...

I'm using VBA to dynamically add rows of textboxes to a Report, then assign values to those textboxes. The values are definitely being assigned as I can MsgBox them afterward and the values come up, but they are NOT actually showing on the Report. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows.
