AllowBypassKey Function Option Failed

Someone recently directed me to
http://www.mvps.org/access/general/gen0040.htm for using a Function
that includes the fourth place DLL to prevent undoing the
AllowBypassKey = False. However, the code apparently fails to run on
Access 97. The part that does not work is "PropType As
DAO.DateTypeEnu m" - Automation failed when attempting to compile. Has
anyone any clues why, or is this code only for Access 2000> Thanks,
Dalan

Hello all, I am writing a script where I need to use the system() function to call htpasswd. I can do this just fine on the command line...works great (see attached file, test.php). When my webserver runs that part of the script (see attached file, snippet.php), though, it doesn't go through. I don't get an error message or anything...it just returns a "1" (whereas it should return a "0") as far as I can tell. I have read the PHP...

Perhaps someone can share information on the methods to use to effect the automation process of creating the property to set the AllowBypassKey function. I was directed to: http://www.mvps.org/access/general/gen0040.htm and downloaded the function module that includes setting the fourth DDL part to true. It initially failed to compile using Access 97 because "PropType As DAO.DataTypeEnum" is not an automation type that Visual Basic...

Help, please!! I am running MS Access 2000. I copied code from Michael Kaplan's website (see below) to disable the shift key for all non-admin users. I pasted the code into a new function. I then created a macro, used the Run Code command and selected my function. When I select the function in the Expression Builder, it appears as:

I was wondering if there was a way to set a specific property to different vallues depending on the user? I need to users of the database to be able to add, edit, and read data in the forms but not be able to change the design in anyway. I have all the settings the way I want and then I figured I could just hold the shift on startup when I log in as the administrator, unfortunately that also works for the other users. Can I set...

Hello, I have implemented a small library with a function a datatype to manage temporary storage, and handle out correctly casted storage. The function to get a double pointer is for instance: double * work_get_double(work_type *work, size_t size) {} Now, if the work area is not sufficiently large, the function fails,

I am often in the situation where I want to act on the result of a function, but a simple boolean is not enough. For example, I may have a function called isAuthorised ( User, Action ) as ????? OK, this function may return a boolean, and if this is true, then no message back is really required, but if it fails then some supporting message needs to be returned to the calling code. As I see it there are a few options.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
