Text box with bottom margin won't allow vert scrollbar?

Using A2000
I put a small margin at the bottom of a textbox containing a memo
field for data entry. This was to avoid the half-line which appears
when you hit the bottom of the box. This seems to have turned off the
vertical scrollbar which had worked perfectly up until then - only
appearing when focussed. Now the only way to get to text past the
bottom is to insert cursor and use down arrows. Any assistance
welcomed. Thanks

Hi Bill.

Yes, I am able to reproduce this in A2003 also, so it does look like a bug.

The scrollbar reappears if you do:
Forms!MyForm!My Memo.BottomMarg in = 0
set focus to another control, and then set focus to the memo's text box
again.

Instead of setting a margin, did you know that in Form Design view you could
get the text box to automatically adjust to the correct height by selecting
it and then from the Format menu choosing Size | To Fit?

(That doesn't work properly either if you have set margins in the text box.)

My compiler (m68k-gcc) does not allow this (simplified example; not my real code) and I don't see why not: { char *arrayCharPtr1 = {"a", "ab", NULL}; char *arrayCharPtr2 = {"A", "AB", NULL}; char *arrayCharPtrVar = ((someBoolean) ? arrayCharPtr1 : arrayCharPtr2); // <-error here! StrCopy(someString, arrayCharPtr); }

G'day, After doing much searching and pinching bits of ideas from here there and everywhere I came up with a fairly 'clean' solution of including a comboBox into a dataGrid column. You can download a fully working C# sample with the Northwind.mdb here: www.insightgis.com.au/web/stuff/DataGridCombo.zip

Hi everyone. I am looking to create a simple function that will spot a hexcolor in a font tag, that has quotes, and remove the quotes. i.e <font color="ffffff"should become <font color=ffffff>. Perhaps I am making it more complex than it needs to be, but I have broken down the input string into an array of single characters using preg_split(), and I am iterating through the chars, looking for a quote followed by a hash. The problem...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
