I need help with my school project

I need to make a project for school that intergrates Frontpage,
access, word and powerpoint. I wanted to make something that would be
usefull for work also. Anyways, here goes.

I hope to create a webpage that my employees would register on.
Everytime they access this webpage they would need to provide a
username and password. I am planning on creating a form in frontpage
that would send the information to a access database (dont know how to
do that on my home computer, I have no frontpage extensions
installed). Once on the site, the person would be able to access
required training (powerpoint) presentation. Once they are completed
the ppt, a certificate would be generated using word. Also, the
completion would be tracked using access.

What do you think? is this possible? I can do all of it, with the
exception to the access stuff. Im very new at that, and need direction
as to where to get started.

Thank you
Glen

In my opinion this is not a simple project. I would say, it is a very
difficult project in that you want to use web interface. Everything else
is relatively simple but the fact that you plan to run a ppt in a web
browser makes me wonder.
I would rather not get into technicalities becasue you are still at
concept stage. I strongly suggest to use Frontpage simply for making web
pages presenting the results from the database instead of trying to
interact with the user.

Hi, to not deceive you this is a school project. We are developing some XSLT to format some data in HTML for Internet Explorer. The work uses XSLT and CSS and XML. The objective is to write a search form, the user enters details in a browser window, presses the "search" button, and books that match the search criteria are displayed in a table formatted with pretty colours. We have a problem. We thought the XML searched by the...

I am the best c++ programmer in the whole wide world. Trust ME! My reference is Victor Bazarov,Valentin Samko,Alf P.Steinbach( Me and Alf actually intern together at Microsoft), and Bjarne Stroustrup (he actually asked me for help to design C++ ; still unsure why he didn't give me enought credit - probably a poor design choice to have Russian name near c++),Branimir Maksimovic,Vladimir Kouznetsov . Me and Victor went to the same...

I am currently taking a db course and my class is paired us into groups of 4s and our instructor had us download a template from the microsoft Access site for education to create and modify a database for a made up school. This was our objective as it was from a business asking for our team. St. Marys School is an educational establishment who recently decided to convert from paper to technology. A earlier Database was used by inputing...

At school, we do all of our coding in emacs, but I am trying to get the example apps working at home using Visual C++.net. In the example, there are 4 .cpp files (canvas.cpp, main.cpp, myDisplay.cpp and tween.cpp) a header file (canvas.h) and a makefile that compiles it for linux. The tween.cpp is the main file, and it only contains inludes statements to the other files.

First, Merry Christmas. I have been doing intensive Java programming for two years in school (no choice on the language), but now I need to return to C++ because my resume is filled with it both in Windows and Unix and I need work because I am graduating in a few months. Instead of just reading books to refresh my memory, I'm going to build a large (4 month) project that encompasses all the C++ material. I think this is a better way of...

Hello all, I don't mean to exclude the rest of the world here, but I think this will be more applicable for me. What's the going rate for freelance web designing in the USA? I know it probably varies from city to city, but I need a ball park idea. Do you charge per hour? Per page? Per project? I did a website for my son's private school. It's a small school with a

There is then a table which records absences for each employee, it records the date of the absence etc and also holds the number of days absent . Each time the employee is absent they will have an entry in this table linked by . I have created a query...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
