Hi.
I've got the Access Runtime from the Microsoft Office 2000 Developer.
I used to run it with Windows NT 4.0 and Office 2000.
The operating system Windows NT4.0 is a Swedish version, and so are
the Offices.
I recently tried to install it on a Windows 2000 Professional
(Swedish, with Office 2000, Swedish) installation, but it doesn't
work.
The error message is somewhat like this:
"Check the path to see if it exist"
and
"Check the Access components" or something like that.
The strange thing, is that it worked with Windows NT 4.0, but not with
Windows 2000 Professional.
Would appreciate any help I could get on the subject, thanks.

I read an article by, by Mike Groh, in Access-VB-SQL Advisor Magazine,
Week 37 that concerns me quite a bit on distributing Access
Applications commercially.
First I need to describe a "commercial version" of my application that
I hope to distribute after completing all the beta testing:
A. It was developed using MS AccessXP Pro (developers edition),
B. It has a front end MyApplication.mdb and a MyAppBbackend_be.mde;
the front end is...

Hello All
Our organisation has recently upgraded its operating system to Windows
2000. Prior to this I was running Access 2000 databases on NT
machines using the Access 2000 Runtime with no problems.
Since the upgrade I am experiencing runtime errors which are making
parts of the database unusable. The database will crash when I run a
report. One of the problems relates to formating problems surrounding
reference libraries. I have...

Any help would be grateful :-)
Problem:
When I test my installation of Access 2000 MDE, I get the following
error: "Unrecognised Format".. This means that Access 97 cannot read
Access 2000. But I was under the Impression that Access 2000, could
be redistributed using Install Shield 7 and that it would not effect
the workstations current status.
My Current senario is:

I know this is a long, long shot since I've never seen anyone else confess
to owning this software but.....
Does anyone know what the correct sequence is to get the MSI wizard
functioning correctly on a windows 2000 SP3 pc? I have had to reinstall
following a system crash and the thing just won't play ball.
This is what I'm currently doing;

This is not a question, but I need a bit of advice.
I need to create a software solution for users in various countries.
Normally I would use Access 2000 and simply deliver the databases for
use. Unfortunately some of the users will not have Access installed on
their machines, and will not purchase it simply to use this software.
In the (bad) old days of using Access97, I would have simply sent the
databases together with the runtime...

Hi,
If we want to compile an Access 2002 database and distribute it to
others, will the compiled software run on any PC, like Windows 98,
Windows 2000, etc.
Also, you don't have to have Access 2002 in order to run it do you?
Thanks!

This is a general posting of how I fixed a problem created by using the
Access 97 ODE Setup Wizard on a Windows XP machine. I hope it helps anyone
who comes across the problem saves them the 3 days its taken me to sort out.
The application generates the following error:
"Incompatible version of the RPC stub"
This occurs when trying to run Outlook to send an email. However I expect it
would occur for any operation which uses...

Apologies in advance as I am SURE this has been asked 100 times - but I
haven't got a simple answer:
I have MS Office XP Developer and have created an installation package (with
the runtime) for an Access 2002 database.
The problem: when installing on a Windows XP machine, I get the following
error:

Hi to all!
A customer of mine told me some days ago that her IT-people told her
ACCESS would not be such a good idea for continuing with our project,
because Access will not be continued in the future. I haven't heard of
this. Does anybody know more about it?
The IT-People usually prefer Oracle. If they really want to go in this
direction, could our Access-application (if continued) be used as a
front end with an Oracle back end? Does...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
