What happens at the customer site? Does the app give an error? Does he get a
No Data error message when he anticipates there are records? Is his printer
connected? Is the printer on? Do you have code like "On Error Resume Next"
prior to calling the report? Does the report get called? Are you sure? Do you
have the same form that calls the report as the customer? Basically, could you

Send the customer a copy of your form/module that call the report since yours
works. And send him your report too.

I use a print link that causes a problem with Opera 7. The link looks like this <a href="javascript:parent.frames.mainFrame.print()">Print this page</a> I also used <a href="javascript:print()">Print this page</a> and it also worked with most browsers. I realize that it only works if you have Microsoft Windows versions for PC but that is what most of out customers have anyway. I have also noticed that there is a problem

Apologies...I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't seem to come up with the correct Google search terms. While my problem is with stylesheets, the errors are being caused by my javascript, so this seemed a more appropriate place to post. I'm using a media=print style sheet to do a version of a web page that I am building. Currently, I'm working on the IE version. I have an HTML page and 2 style sheets which all validate...

I need to print a html table when the user clicks on a key. the problem is that i don't want the printer dialog box to appear. i guess this is impossible in javascript so i think to create an event that will be fired by a keyup event, this event will submit the page, and i will be able to print in from the vb.net without the printing dialog box. the problem is that on the server i can't print the web table because i already submitted that...

There is/was a long discussion about the replacement for print in Python 3.0 (I don't know if this discussion is finished): http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-dev/2005-September/055968.html There is also a wiki page that collects the ideas: http://wiki.python.org/moin/PrintAsFunction There is the will to keep the printing operation very simple for the most common situation, but at the same time to make it flexible (optional no...

I am trying to print a graphic file (tif) and also use the PrintPreview control, the PageSetup control, and the Print dialog control. The code attached is a concatination of two examples taken out of a Microsoft book, "Visual Basic,Net Step by Step" in Chapter 18. All but the bottom two subroutines will open a text file, and then allow me to use the above controls, example 1. The bottom two subroutines will print a graphic file, example...

Sorry for posting this here but unfortunatly I couldn't find any appropriate newsgroup for this and since I've been active here with .net question I figured you guys might be able to help. This is a link to a very simple page that contains 2 DIV statements: http://xsinx.no-ip.com:8880/TestEmbedDiv.html One of them is embeded in the other. There is some clipping involved (the red layer is smaller than the yellow one). If you look at...

The pros and cons of making 'print' a function in Python 3.x are well discussed at: http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-dev/2005-September/056154.html Alas, it appears that the effect of this pep would be to make it impossible to use the name 'print' in a backward compatible manner. Indeed, if a program is to compile in both Python 2.x and Python 3.x, the print function (or the print statement with parentheses) can not use the...

print and softspace in python In python, whenever you use >>>print statement it will append a newline by default. If you don't want newline to be appended, you got use a comma at the end (>>>print 10,) When, you have a list of characters and want them to be printed together a string using a for loop, there was observation that no matter what there was space coming between the characters. No split or join methods helped. print e, a b c

I am running out of printing paper trying to debug this...it has to be trivial, but I cannot figure it out--can you? Why am I not printing text, but just the initial string "howdy"? On the screen, when I open a file, the entire contents of the file is in fact being shown...so why can't I print it later? All of this code I am getting from a book (Chris Sells) and the net. The solution is to be found in the fact that stringbuilder is...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
