Access wizards

I am using MS-Office2000.
When I use MSAccess, the wizards do not work. I get the message that they
are not installed or are turned off.
I have installed all wizards and none appear as disabled.

I have removed / reinstalled etc. but the problem persists. I cannot make
mailing lists etc.

Any ideas?

There are a number of reasons why that might be the case. Do a search of
Google
to see if any of the previously supplied advice works for you.

(watch for word wrap in the link above)

For example, Dev wrote ...
Register DAO360.dll with RegSvr32.

Jeff Pritchard wrote ...
Soooo, I uninstalled Business Tools and reinstalled them. Guess
what...wizards are back.

Had a similar problem moving from Access97 to AccessXP. And then the
issue happened again when moving from Windows97 to WindowsXP ! Each
time |I found the quickest way was not to fight the problem but to
start again. That means that I opened a new database and then
imported the table(s), querie(s), form(s) etc. from the old database
into a new database and then had absolutely no problems !! Saved a
few of my gray hairs as well .......

Hello all, I was hoping someone might know where, if at all, you can download the Additional Wizards for MS Access 2000 (VB Help, Converting Macros to VBA, etc.) and Excel 2000. I didn't install them when I originally installed Access and Excel and have misplaced the CD-ROM. Any help with this would be appreciated. regards and thanks Brendan.

Hi all, I've just upgraded to Access 2000 and it seems that all the wizards do not work. I get error messages saying that they are not installed. I've already done the following: 1. Uninstalled and re-installed 2. Checked for presence of acwzmain.mde and acwztool.mde 3. re-registered the dao files

Hi: I am the ?proud? owner of Access 2000, and have been using it for a while (with help from this group). I now want to put some Access applications on the web. An associate told me that this was "a slam dunk" ( to use George Tenant phrase), because Access had all the tools you needed built in. Well after a suitable struggle, I found that he was talking about access 97, which had the following capabilities: Wizards to save forms,...

When I moved my Access 2000 program to Win XP Home, none of the wizards are working. Anyone know why? Since I know it will come up (at least it was the first question Microsoft asked) I do have a legal version of Access 2000 and yes it is registered with MS. All was working just fine under W98. Any help is always appreciated.

We are running an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. Our network guy is upgrading to Windows Server 2003 and wants to upgrade Office and SQL Server at the same time. We're moving to SQL Server 2005, and, since he already has licenses for Office Pro 2002, he wants to upgrade to that. I've been saying that we need to upgrade to Access 2003, not 2002, even if Office is kept at 2002. We are also looking to do a fair amount of...

Just looking at C Sharp to see if it might be worth my while learning something new. Has anyone here tried a .NET language and tried to replicate a existing Access app? I would be interested to hear how any stories about this and in particular how one deals with not having subforms - can you get a third-party control to fill that gap?

How will Access fair in a year? Two years? .... The new version of Access seems to service non programmers as a wizard interface to quickly create databases via a fancy wizard. Furthermore, why would you even continue to use Access as a backend when you have a much superior option in SQL express? What about as a future front-end development tool? Let's get serious. Microsoft continues to publish numerous articles and videos on how you...

Hi, I am not a programmer and in the past have only created very simple, flat file databases. Although I'm a newbie, I think I could probably figure out basic Boolean logic and financial functions. The database I want to create would import quite a few records -- maybe as many as 100,000. I would be importing them from an Internet source (comma delimited) to my desktop so that I could manipulate the data how I wanted. Despite the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
