USING Crosstabs results -- how do you get it into a form or report ?

Hi:

While the crosstabs capability appears very powerful, I don't see how I can get the
information into a form or anything else. Is there some way I can do a cross tabs, and
then use the result? Whenever I try I find that there is no data available, unlike regular
queries, forms and reports

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

There's a good example of how to print a crosstab report in the Developer
Solutions example (should be somewhere in the Acces help files, failing
which it is somewhere on the MS website).

Doing the same thing with forms is slightly more difficult and not
altogether desirable. In any case you wouldn't be able to update it as
there's nothing to indicate what to update in the constituent tables.

If you have Access 2002 & greater you can use the Pivot Table option
when creating a form using the Form design wizard.

I have a crystal report which works fine in the Crystal design. The crosstabs display the summarized fields as horizontal, but when I run the same report in dotnet the crosstabs display the summarizd fields as vertical (default). Is this a Crystal viewer bug? Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

This is something I can't test (don't have 2007) and found no definitive answer, but a few conflicting ones. Will a 2003 database work correctly in Access 2007? Don't want to do any design work, just execute and use the database in 2007. And will Office and Access 2003 work correctly in Vista? Jeff

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows.
