how to update a table after printing a report?

hi 2 all,

is there any way to update a table after printing a report after opening for
view-only? (like a field "printed")

or the best practice is to ask for confirmation after runing a print report
command?

thanx

If you OpenReport in acViewPreview, its Activate event fires.
Activate does not fire in acViewNormal.

Hello Everyone, Someone asked me today if it was possible to update data in a table via a report. I saw one thread where someone indicated the solutions.mdb had a report that did it but I didn't see it. Does anyone have experience doing this? Any information is appreciated.

Using WinXP & AccessXP, I'd like to automatically have the records that I've just printed in a report automatically updated to have the 'print date & time' immediately inserted into a 'Date/Time' field in the table of all of the 'just printed' records. The crude way would be to run an Update Query immediately before or immediately after printing on those records in the report, but how would I have this done automatically when hitting the...

Please help I'd like to know if there is an easy way to setup a command button to select all the records in a table and then send it to print instead of opening the table and then choosing file and print. Thanks.

I run a daily Make Table Query and want to generate a report based on the resulting table. When I run the Make Table Query each day, it must delete the table before rebuilding each day. As long as that table is connected to the report, the query can't delete it. I simply want to update the table so I can use it in a daily flash report, but I must update the table daily. My current method of trying to use the Make Table Query won't allow...

So in report there are many articles and what I need when I get to the end, is to update page numbers on the second page where the Table of Content is .... or even update strings like Page 1 or 10 ... Page 2 of 10 etc .... When starting the report I don't know the total number of pages nor the page number on which each and every article starts ....

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
