If I recall correctly is there not some sort of Toggle button you can employ
to achieve this kind of effect? I had a simply app years ago that allowed
the user to check several boxes and then hit a toggle which filtered some
data. The button remained down. You could then click it once more and the
filter would be removed. Check the Control toolbox, though I suppose this
might depend on the version of Access you use. It was there in Access 95
I'm pretty sure but I'm haven't checked to see if it is in Access 2000.

Gudday, I have an Access 2000 database which I am using as a phone directory of residents in the hostel where I work. The front end for this directory is a form with a text box (the search name etc) and two combo boxes that let you choose options relating to the search name. These three controls are referenced by a query, the results of which are the control source for a subform on the main form. so far, so good.

The following is happening in two instances in A2003. The one I s\describe is the easiest one. Theme controls and autocorrupt have been turned off long ago. An unbound main form with a list box (query row source and multi-select turned off) and a datasheet subform. The short cut menu for the datasheet subform includes standard sort ascending and descending and remove filter/sort menu items. The recordsource for the subform datasheet...

App; ACCESS 2003 Question on FORMS What command line can i add to a button in a FORM that will remove current filter? I hid the scroll bar towards the bottom of the form since I dont want users to navigate, but now I cannot un-filter either. To clarify a bit further, Form1 opens Form2 using a stlinkcriteria. I would like a command button in Form2 which removes filter/criteria on form2.

Hello, I have all the necessary security setup for my database. The only problem is once the users have logged in, they can go to the Records Menu and click Remove Filter/Sort and they can view everybody else's records. Is there a way to get rid of this option on the default menu? Thank you for your comments

Hi there. I am a programmer for a living, but this problem has my whole team stumped. I have a subform based on a query. I'm not using the "LinkMaster/ChildFields" properties ( I have my reasons ). The ssbform's query has a criteria for forms!masterform!Keyfield. This works fine on open. I have an options group with two options - True or All. Selecting True adds a filter to the subform's fitler property "Billed = True". That...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
