Access 2002 autofill problem

CLAN_ID ||| IME(name)||| PREZIME(surname ) ||| CASOPIS_ID (journal_id) |||
NAZIV (journal name)|||
||||||||||||||| ||||||||||||||| ||||||||||||||| ||||||||||||||| ||||||||||||||| |
||||||||||||||| ||||||||||||||| ||||||||||||||| ||||||||||||||| ||||||||||||||| |
||||||||||||||| ||||||||||||||| ||||||||||||||| ||||||||||||||| |

I have the form with these fields.
When I enter CLAN_ID automaticly fill up fields IME (name) and PREZIME
(surname),
and entering CASOPIS_ID automaticly fill up NAZIV fields. But if I dont know
CLAN_ID
or CASOPIS_ID I would like to write IME (name),PREZIME (surname) and NAZIV
(name of the journal),
and on that base to fill up these fields.

If you want I can send you mdb.zip so you can look up this problem.
Thanks

Without knowing how your _data_ is structured and stored, it is going to
be -- at best -- difficult to offer you any suggestions. Forms are simply to
display and work with the data that you have stored in tables... clearly, if
you enter one field (CLAN_ID) and others are filled in, there is more to the
description than "a form with these fields".

And, I do not quite understand what _problem_ you are trying to solve... if
you try to type in the data, what happens?

Few here will accept an MDB -- it is too easy for a malicious poster to
include destructive code. And, all too often, those come with a description
no more specific than "Can you tell me why this doesn't work?" without any
information about how they _expect_ it to work.

I'm having a lot of difficulty trying to persuade the Google toolbar autofill to act consistently, for example ======================= <html><head> <title>autofill test</title> </head><body> <form method="POST" action=""> 1 email <input type="text" name="email"><br> 2 name <input type="text" name="name"> <br>

I have a table with fields EmpID (PK), EmployeeNumber, DateTaken, and YearTaken to track the dates an employee takes for vacation. I need a way to distinguish between years because the data will be from multiple years (i.e., 2003, 2004). In my query, I set a parameter ("Enter year..."), so in my reports and on forms I can see only one year at a time. My problem is that in my form, I don't want the user to have to enter the date...

I have a client who is running several Access 97 databases that I have written for them. They are about to upgrade to Access 2003. Is the default file format of Access 2003 still Access 2000 the same as it was in Access 2002? I am running Access 2002 at the moment. Is there any reason for testing purposes etc, for me to purchase Access 2003 if I am going to recompile the Access 97 mdb files into Access 2000 format mde files which...

I have several Access 2003 mde databases. When I try to open them in Access 2002 I get the following error: "The Visual Basic for Applications project in the database is corrupt." Interestingly I can open the mdb files of the same 2003 databases in Access 2002 without problems. To my understanding the file formats of 2002 and 2003 are the same and this problem shouldn't exist. And why is it only the mde files that are giving the...

I'm retouching our corporate web site that, among other things, allows customers to log in and pay their invoices online. I noticed that on the checkout page, the credit card number textbox autofills with past entries for that textbox. My development workstation has the Google Toolbar installed; I'm not sure whether the autofill functionality is native to the browser or coming from the Google Toolbar. In either case, is there any way...

If you are looking for opinon on what's useful in Access 2007, there's a new article at: http://allenbrowne.com/Access2007.html Covers what's good (useful features), what's mixed (good and bad), what's gone (features removed), what's fixed (old issues solved), what's broken (new bugs), configuration, compatibility, should you buy, and links. It is opinion, so you may disagree, but hopefully it's an informative summary.

Hi, I have some comboboxes that are created dynamically at run time based on user actions. I found a procedure on a message board to autofill the combobox text from the dataview that the comboboxes are bound to. It works perfectly on the comboboxes that I have created at design time, but the ones that I create runtime behave differently. The problem is that when the user tabs onto the combobox, the box stays blank, which is fine. ...

Hello I develop my applications in Access 2002. My development system is running Windows XP SP2 and I have Microsoft Office XP Developer. Microsoft Office XP is at SP3. I used Inno Setup (great product) to install my applications. When the Access Runtime was needed on the system I simply ran 'accessrt.msi' from Microsoft Office Developer discs. When another version of Access (other than Access 2002) was on the system then I simply...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
