Was wondering if someone could help. Over the last month I've been developing a
small database application, using Access 2000, for use in a friends shop.
Everything was going well until about a week ago when I started getting the
following error when I would click any buttons on my main form that ran either
VB code or an Access Macro:
"Error accessing file. Network connection may have been lost.".
I know for sure it's not a network problem as I don't have a network. I can see
and edit all concerned macros and modules, however the error will not allow my
code to run. The error popup has a help button on it, but when I press the help
button it gives me a complete blank help page. I have on occasion recieved a
different error stating that there maybe an ActiveX , OLE problem.
Any help that anyone could give would be very much appreciated.
Thank you

I have two ASP pages. They basically query a database, and spit out the
information as plain text in CSV format.
The first has the SQL query hardcoded into it. The second takes a SQL
query from a webform.
Now, the hardcoded results, I can click "Save Page As" when the results
come up and save it as a text file.
The other, while it seems to be the same results exactly, gives me an

Hello:
When I try to access a SQL server or a network share from an ASP.Net
application that I run on my computer, I run into security problems (for
instance, I cannot execute DTS package using Trusted connection or get a
file information using FileInfo class). This is probably because my
application is running under PETER\ASPNET account, where PETER is my
computer's name. I can solve this problem by using Impersonation.
However, when...

I am having a really strange problem. I have a site setup in a virtual
directory that fails with the error below. It works on other web servers
that are network load balanced with this server. I can go right to the
default.aspx right in the ISS Manager and right-click browse and the error
still comes up. I re-copied the folder over from a working server and
checked IIS and NTFS permissions and it all matches. I recreated the
virtual...

Here's a wierd problem:
I have a little test case for M2Crypto, which just opens up SSL connections to
web servers and reads their certificates. This works fine.
But if I execute

so that the sockets don't wait too long if there's no SSL server, I get

Hello,
one of my PC is window system, and in "control panel -Network

which I created by click "create a new connection".
My question is, is it possible to create a new connection by using
Python script? which means I do not want to use Window UI (via
"control panel"), if it is possible, I can save so many time to
create various network connection when I want to do...

I have been using an xml parsing script to parse a number of rss feeds
and return relevant results to a database. The script has worked well
for a couple of years, despite having very crude error-trapping (if it
finds an error in one of the xml files, the script stops). Recently, the
script has stopped working because one of the xml files is badly formed.
So I decided to rewrite the script with better error trapping; the
script should...

We have Apache on the local network managing several websites that are accessed using virtual domains (configured in the local machine's hosts file, eg. 192.168.1.10 points to dev.somedomain.com).
I am reworking the way that I access images on the site by specifying the http://etc address of the image instead of the local relative address. This is so that I can eventually have a separate server serving images to all websites (a lot of images...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
