Unable to quit Access.

Hi All, I previous posted:

I have an access 97 database that I'm still using by running it with
the runtime version created using ODE Tools. I have had to upgrade my
machines to Windows XP and since then when I quit the database in the
runtime version it does not quit the application but leaves a"ghost"
session of access open that are unusable and that you cannot end
except by force quitting it in the
task manager. How do I fix this.

and I got the reply for:

See the Exorcist:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...&Product=acc97

HOWEVER, I checked the kb article and this was not the problem on my
database, what I have discovered thereafter is that the msvcrt.dll
series of dll's have something to do with this, exactly what I would
not have the first idea, any takes on this?

What do I do now?

Thanks in advance for everyone that has helped so graciously so far.

Kind regards.

Are you using any Activex controls on forms/reports? I've run into this
problem (although not with the runtime) when my Activex control wasn't
properly shutdown, or experienced an unhandled error. Also make sure you are
closing ALL objects that have been opened in your code.

For some unexplained reason, I am suddenly unable to browse to a virtual directory on my laptop. I have a number of sample websites to which I could happliy browse up until last week. As of Monday, if I browse to any of the sites, I get an HttpException saying "The directory does not exist or is not accessible because of security settings." I honestly have not changed anything at all. I have checked and re-checked that ASPNET indeed has...

I am currently trying to add a way to dynamically add the <input type="file"> to my webpage to allow a user to add as many attachments as they would like at a given time. However, when I added it using Javascript, I am unable to access it in my ASP.NET code. I know that there are plenty of problems that ASP.NET has in this way, and was wondering if anyone knew a workaround that I could use to get the text and file information from the...

I've been developing on this machine for months and have created many ASP.NET applications that connect to various remote machines, mostly databases. All of a sudden, I am unable to connect to my SQL Server even though I have a valid connection string (no, I'm not using integrated security). This exact connection string works perfectly in WinForms apps. Anytime I try to connect via an ASP.NET app, I get the familiar message "SQL...

When I go back into VB Express and open the project no files appear (but I can open them manually) and when I open my form designer it comes in code, I am unable to access the design view as the shift- F7 function is not there in the view menu.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
