Question using SENDOBJECT command in ACCESS 97 Macro

Using the SENDOBJECT action command in a Macro works fine if you hard
code in their email address.

SENDOBJECT TO br**@emailaddre ss.com
SUBJECT This is the Subject line of the email

My problem is that the email address is stored in a field in a table.
In a MACRO, how can I put the field name in the TO value? For
example:
SENDOBJECT TO [fieldname_email address]
SUBJECT This is the Subject line of the
email
I'm not good with writing modules so I cant perform the
docmd.sendobjec t command this way. Sorry.

Thanks for any help that you can provide,
Bret Shortall

I am trying to execute a DoCmd.SendObject command to produce an email message from Access 2000. The command produces the email message, but the To:, CC: and BCC: fields are blank. The subject field and content come across fine. I can verify that the information isn't leaving Access. My client is experiencing the same problem. I tried it on two different computers; same problem.

Hi, I've attempted to make use of the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article "ACC97: How to Use a Recordset to Send Outlook E-Mail to Multiple Recipients - 318881" but I can't get it to completely work. I have been continually receiving two error messages. The first message states that it cannot find the Form "frmMail" which I made sure to create.

Hello, I am using access 2000 and I am trying to email a csv file. I have only used the docmd.sendobject command but you can only email objects that are within the access database ( as far as I can tell anyway). I need to email a file that is not in my database. Is there another way I can send an email without using sendobject that would allow me to do this. Thanks for any help. Regards, Bill Mahoney

I have developed a form in Access to be filled out and then mailed to a central address. I am using a command button on the form with a macro behind it. The macro uses the 'sendobject' command and identifies the form to be sent, the e-mail address and a standard message. However, when I use the button on the form, it opens lotus notes with the correct e-mail address and message but has not got the form attached.

I've inherited an application for creating mail merges from an Access 2003 ADP that needs an overhaul. To generate the mail merge , the app uses a shell command: result = Shell(str, vbHide) where str = "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Winword.exe " & letter & " /mmergeletter"

Hi all, I've read that the message argument in SendObject allows a max of 255 characters. Is this correct? If so, doesn't this render SendObject severely restricted as a way to send emails from Access? Regards, Penny

I am able to filter the records using the where comand and i am able to send using the DoCmd.SendObject command. but only seperately. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
