Greetings,
In Access 97 I have a subreport with two labels and a control. The
record source for the control is a simple SQL query referring to
another query:
SELECT DISTINCTROW qryInitPosition s.PortfolioNum,
qryInitPosition s.[Sum Of MovedShares]
FROM qryInitPosition s;
Occasionally, the result of the query is zero (not null). When I view
the subreport, it shows the zero and the labels. However, in the main
report, only the non-zero results and their labels are visible. I've
experimented with CanGrow and CanShrink and with visible properties,
and still I can't get the zero result to display. Any suggestions?

Suggestion: Explicitly apply the numeric format "0.00" to the textbox. Or for testing, apply the numeric
format +0.00;-0.00;"ZERO";"NU LL" to the textbox.

Design is as follows:
A form for the user to input criteria to be used as the where part of
the report's recordsource. This includes a multiselect list box as part
of the criteria selection.
The report is generated from a button on this form. In the button's
onclick event a where clause is built and assigned to a public variable.
Because of the multiselect listbox I use IN as part of the where
clause, for example, sqlstr = " ...

I have a form that contains a command button. The command button's
OnClick event builds a report using the CreateReport and
CreateReportControl functions and then opens the main report. I set
the OnFormat property of the detail section in the subreport to a
function which is located in a standard module. I am not able to
access the subreport nor it's controls in the module. I need to hide a
text box in the subreport if there is no...

Hello,
I have a report which uses a subreport. When I run the report, I get
"Enter Parameter Value" error message for "tblGuestRoom". I click ok
and the report seems to work fine.
I narrowed down this error to the Link Master Fields property setting,
when I tried the same scenario with form/subform. It gave me error:
'The Link Master fields property setting has produced this error: The
object doesn't contain the Automation object...

I have a subreport that can contain one or two pictures per page. The
subreport is similar to an appendix to the main report. The recordsource
contains a field "IncludeInReport" (Yes/No) for each picture record. What
code do I use and where does it go to prevent printing the subreport if
there are no picture records marked "Yes" in the "IncludeInReport" field?
Thanks,
Tom

Hi All,
I have a report which has several sub-reports on it, Each sub-report
has its own record source and child/parent link.
Sometimes a sub-report may not have data for an entered policy nbr and
on the report thier is just an empty space where that sub-report would
be when that happens.
How do I get the sub-report to still display on the report when it has
no data????

I'm having some difficulty and I can't for the life of me figure
out why. I have a main report, rptMain, that contains a report
header (displays the AppTitle), 3 group headers (one is a
header for the "report version" and is being used for a cover
sheet, one is a category header, and the other is an item header),
about 6 subreports in the Details section, 2 non-empty group
footers, a page footer and a report footer.
The 6 subreports in...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
