Access 2 + Access 2000 HELP Pls

Aloha, I have a DB in Access 2000 consisting of about 1500 lines of
code and 65 tables, 95 queries and 60 forms and want to "merge" with
another persons program written in Access 2 with about the same size,
(code, tables, queries, etc.) We would have in common one table
"customers" . My friend with the Access 2 likes it because he claims
it is faster and takes much less programing space, so what do we do?
How would you approach this project?

1: Convert the access 2 to 2000?
2: Convert the access 2000 to 2 (I use very little code that is
exclusive to Jet 3.0-Jet4.0).
3: I am thinking Access 2 to 2000 and have read the steps are Access 2
to 97 then to 2000.

So how would you approach this task? Is there another solution I have

He likes Access 2.0 becuase it's smaller than the bloated 2K version? Well,
this is the way of Microsoft!! I liked the absolute control I seemed to
have in the days of DOS, however I can't lament that now, I'd still be
noodling around in freakin' dbase!

Tell your friend to get the ADH2K book, and dive in. Since your friend
hasn't been dabbling in the new versions, he is likely not to be familiar
with some of the newer concepts, however his previous experience with access
should make the process much less harsh. When you say "lines of code" you
aren't saying "lines of macros" are you? Visual basic hasn't changed that
much, I woudlnt want to try to go back and use 2.0, but I think I could if I
had to. I say just convert his old 2.0 code to 2K.

I'm curious how you intent to seperate the collections of objects more on a
theoretical level - that is, when you're looking through forms and reports
or whatever, how will you know which are related to his system, and which
are related to yours? The reason I ask is I am about to begin a project in
which there will be some amount of remote collaboration, and I don't want to
step on my other contributor's toes.
