How to prepare for real world programming?

1 New Member
I am at university. What is the best way for me to build the right experience to be ready for real world programming? Will take any tips & suggestions.

Somehow I have a feeling programming at work won't be the same as it's in uni.

You may contact an IT company in your city for doing your summer project.

You can start participating in various coding competitions which are online as well as offline.Practicing questions on sites like codechef,hackerrank,hackerearth,spoj,etc...would definitely help you to go very far in programming!
