How do you define "multilingu al" ?
If you mean each page contents available separately in different languages?
Then you can use ANSI and set page encoding dynamically.
If you mean several languages apearing on the same page, then you have to
emply UTF8 and make sure that your website is on w2k rather then on nt4

I am building a website with identical content in four different languages. On a first visit, the search engine determines the language of the content by the IP address of the visitor. What the user sees is content in only one language at a time. He or she can then switch to another language and set this as the preferred language, but again he...

I have a small, embedded app that uses a webserver to serve up pages showing status, etc. Right now all the pages are hard-coded in English. We need to provide multi-lingual support. All of the pages are PHP generated. Ideally, I'd like for the PHP backend to serve up the language based a) the user's locale, and if that is not set, its...
