How to run reports automatically

26 New Member
Background-
Frontend: MS Access 2010 / VBA
Backend: MS SQL Server 2008

I have 3 MS Access reports that needs to been run weekly. The department responsible for the reports does this but want the reports to run automatically. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can use Task Scheduler to launch Access at a specific time. You can use a command line switch (/cmd) and some programming to automate Access on launch which you could have print your reports and then exit.

Task Scheduler seems to move around in every version of Windows, so if you can't find it where the link (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...#1TC=windows-7) says it is try looking under Administrative Tools.

Here is the basics on using /cmd with Access: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...ffice.11).aspx

Have Fun
