Mixed mode? Active Directory with 1 non AD computer

17
Well heres the set up.
theres an AD set up in the office, every one has a login. now theres one folder lets call it g:\share in the AD server. right now, everyone must be logged in to view that folder.. but theres one PC that does not use AD, because 3 people share that pc (used to input small stuff). Id like that local computer have access to that folder with out loggin into AD. now is this possible? Ive tried playing around settings trying to set the computer name to the ACL list, but that doesnt work. Only way around it so far was to enable the guest account, which i rather not do. anyone have a soloution? Thanks!

As long as your users have an account registered in the AD you can just map the drive on their PC using \\YourServerName\ShareName they will then just have to enter a user id and password to use the share.
