can anyone help with sensible advice regarding XP Pro installation

Hi all Im hoping to find someone that knows how to sort out graphics problems on rebuilt PCs My problem is the fact that I tried to help a freind with their PC by installing a copy of XP proffesional service pack 2 onto their system after using Kill disc to wipe XP home service pack 1 from their hard drive because they couldnt upgrade to office 2007 and now its completely buggered the graphics in the system and is only allowing 4 colours for the display HELP please if theirs anyone out there that knows an answer to this problem I could do with some guidance Regards Jim

Why didn't you just format the drive using the windows cd? and did u download the drivers for the video card?

Built-in video or (brand?) graphic card?

How about reinstalling the graphic card drivers?
Windows doesn't always recognice the hardware automaticly. Sometimes you have to install them manually, and actually it's always a good idea to install them manually.
