LAN Access of Vista Files

I’m unable to access my new laptop Vista files on a LAN from my XP desktop. The message is access denied you might not have permissions to use the network resource. Vista file permissions are set to Everyone with Full Control. The Vista firewall is disabled and the only virus program is AVG checking for viruses only. I can access the Vista Public files OK from the desktop. Both PCs are operating on the LAN and Internet OK. The desktop can access files on other XP PCs. What is blocking access to the Vista non Public files?

Hello, CATraveler!

Try accessing your Vista machine Remotely, see what happens.
