Hi praveen99an and welcome to bytes.com!

To give you exact instructions, we'd need to know which two OSes you're trying to install parallel to each other; however I can give you some general information which might help you:

What you're attempting is often referred to as a dualboot system, so searching for that term should bring up a lot of information. Generally speaking you'll need (at least) two partitions on your hard drive or two (or more) hard drives. You then install each OS to a separate partition/hard drive. Then make sure you have a boot manager that supports both OSes (usually one of the OSes comes with such a boot manager) and you're good to go.
A few more specific tips:
  • If you're installing two versions of Windows, install the older one first as the newer one will come with a boot manager that supports both versions.
  • If you're installing Windows and Linux, install Windows first as the boot manager which comes with Linux (usually grub or lilo, though the latter is pretty rare today) supports both Linux and Windows while the one that comes with Windows doesn't.
  • If you're installing OS X and something else, check out bootcamp.
As I said before, if you give us more detailed information we can help you with more specific instructions.

Hi, I developped a Windows Service in VB.NET (2005). I need to have it installed two times on 1 machine. When I want to install it a second time, the setup doesn't allow me to install it again in an other directory, but only to repair or remove the other version. I get arround this by simply copying the files of the first installed in a...

Can someone remind me how to re-install the Development Center? I was playing with the Environment Settings a bit the other day and, ever since, it hasn't worked right. I can create a new Project but that's all I can do; the File and Edit menus are grayed out and I can't seem to find anything that will re-enable them. I upgraded from DB2...

I've built a dll component that is compiled from contains a number of generic classes, each in separate .vb files, that I'd like to use in several web applications. Currently I'm simply placing a copy of it in each of the \bin directories, but realise the best idea is to install in in the GAC. I'm not clear though as to the method for this,...

Mcmillan Installer/PyInstaller 3. cxfreeze The apps I've seen created by py2exe aren't single-file at all, the install folder is full of files besides the main program. I'm looking for a...

I tried to install SP1, and it appears to have just stopped somewhere part way through. It was "collecting information" (for a long time, slow progress bar) --- then suddenly it stopped.... no indication that either something went wrong, it completed, or still running in the background. I let it sit for another 30 minutes in case it was...

**NOTE: This article is written using the 5.8.8 Alpha2 release of Strawberry Perl. I am writing this article with much joy and glee. This is due to the fact that Active State no longer has a monopoly on the issue of Perl on the Windows platform As anyone who code's Perl on the Windows platform knows, the choice that you have (had) for Perl...

Hi, I've been trying for 2 hours to install in silent mode a DB2 9 runtime client. Why didn't you make this process as simple as for the CLIENT install ? It is not the same setup command, you can download a setup from the support site, but unfortunately, the setup does not allow you to create a response file. Neither the db2rspgn utility,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
