Remove the "reinstall Windows" Dialog in Windows 7?

80 New Member
Because of some error I get a dialog on boot, asking me to remove or reinstall Windows 7.

Anybody knows how to diasble/remove this dialog, without the obvious alternative to reinstall Windows?

Regards.

No, sadly I am not informed of the error prior to this. Kinda thought there would be something you could turn off in services.msc or something.

The thing is the computer works fine, theres no problem besides this dialog that pops up everytime it boots up (In Windows, before the desktop shows..)

Hi, I am writing an App in .Net that involves some scheduling of tasks. I was wondering if anybody has come accross any components or examples of how to implement a schedule manager like the one in the Task Scheduler for Windows? Basically I'm after something that'll allow me to specify a "recurring" or "once off" schedule with advanced options like "the first monday in the month" etc.

I would like to provide a menu item that the users can click that launches the same "Windows Security" window that doing a Ctrl+Alt+Delete launches, but thru a Process.Start. Is this possible, and what is the name of the ..exe and it's location? Thanks, Dean Slindee

Hi, hope I'm posting to the right forum. I'm using C# under .NET 1.1, Windows XP SP2 I have a form and I've overridden WndProc to print to a text box whenever it receives the WM_NCMOUSELEAVE message. Under "Windows XP Style", I get these messages fine (when the mouse moves off the title bar or form borders). Under "Windows Classic Style", I don't get the message at all! Has anyone seen this?

Hi all, I need to call windows' "open with" dialog from my C# windows form application. After the user selects application, control must return to me (I have to launch directly the process). I found this solution: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/shell/openwith.aspx but it's not good for me since it will execute the process directly.

Hi all, I'm trying to find a way to get a list of all the installed programs on a Windows box via Python. I thought of a few hacks that might partially work, and then thought about "Add/Remove Programs" Seems like the right way to go. I looked over the pywin32 docs a bit, but nothing slapped me in the face. Is there any reliable way to get at that info?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
