Creating Macro's in specific Applications

171 New Member
Hi,
I have got a Windows based software for which I would like to automate some tasks. The problem is that it does not have the ability to create Macros within the program. Can I use Windows Macros to Automate tasks within a Windows based software.

Thanks

Hi all, when I moved from Windows to Linux I choosed Python as my language of reference and as GUI, Qt (not much investigated up to now). Till now I didn't regret but one thing: Python can't act as a macro language and so you are obliged to revert to Windows to use programs like AutoIt, Macro Express or Macro Scheduler or even the macro features of Office with VBA. Claudio Grondi expressed almost the same ideas in answering to a post:...

Hi everybody: This will be not easy to explain as my mother language is not english, so my apologies in advance if it sounds confusing. We have a database access 97 wich controls time of people in their job in order to finally know how many money costs us to run some projects. People always estimates the time when reporting and we do have the impression they really underestimate the time.

I need to produce a macro for a project that I have to do in my course in IT "Certificate III IT (Software Applications) Unit ICAITUO18C". The macro needs to validate previously imported data from Text Files. I have already written the macro to import the data and now this Validate Macro forms part of that Macro. The case scenario relates to a Music Expo and 3 bands appear in this exercise. Obviously the previous macro wont complete until...

I'm running Access 97 and have a sub-form within a main form. The subform allows data entry by the user. Now, I would also like to enter a row from a macro, but when I try, the entry always goes into the first row even if there has been a user entry there. Any suggestions on how I can do this? Thanks.

I have a class which inherits Form and would like it to display modally from a macro. I want it to stay in front of the .Net IDE until the user presses Ok and would like the IDE to be locked from user-interaction until the form has been closed. I can get the form to be displayed, using Form.Show/Form.ShowDialog and I can get the .Net IDE to be locked using Form.ShowDialog. I can also get the form to be on top of the .Net IDE...but the...

Hi , writing a small application in C which has to create an XML document by reading a binary format file. Trying to get the indentation right by using a depth global variable which will insert appropriate number of tab spaces depending up on the depth. Is there any way that this can be done using a macro. So , something like

Although some users find Macros simple and easy to use, there are some major limitations to using them. Although you can use macros to perform tasks, there is limited control on when and how those tasks should be performed, and setting conditions can be difficult. There is however, another even stronger reason not to use macros and that is that when errors are thrown during a macro's execution it is difficult to trap the error and therefore...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
